Version 1.10 Trang Oul Set became a COMIDY!!!

Hello,
I'm posting this topic just to tell my opinion about the new version 1.10 and it's results on the set items, especially the Trang Oul's Set.
Yes, the enhancements in the game are wonderful and made the game so funny. Hard to play ( which I prefer ). But for God's sake, what happened to the trang Oul's Set?!!!!
Being a Necromancer fan, I really regret what happened to this wonderful Set. They RUINED every good thing of it in 2 ways:
1- Turning a Necromancer into a Vampire Goul!! that casts Fire-Wall & Inferno!! Which is an ugly thing that turned the Necromacer into the Joke of this version. How could they do this to the mighty glorious Trang Oul's Set?! If they really like to invest a Vampire as a playable charechter, then they have to add him as an individual one. Not to ruin a valuable Set like this!!

2- The Cast Rate of the Trang Oul's Set has been set to ZERO. & by doing that, they eliminated any chance for any Necromancer player to have the will to play. Because they changed the Necromancer identity itself. The playing-Style has been totally reversed from Necromadic-Style into something between a Sorcoress & Druid. Something impossible to play with. This is a disgrace to the Blizzard and to the Diablo game itself.

Does anyone know how we can overcome this disaster to Necromancer?
 
Yes it sucks doesn't it.

Try getting one piece of the set from 1.09. I am sure there are some out there. I am pretty sure that this will complete the set in a way that the 1.10 set bonuses are not used.

I'm not 100% sure of this, I am sure someone else can clarify.
 
Trang set is still very viable with Necro builds that don't depend on FCR.

Venomancers work well with it because the poison damage from multiple novas etc doesn't stack. It just resets the timer, meaning there's little point in casting faster than every 2 seconds.

Summoners work very well with it too. On old ladder I had a full trangs summoner with maxed out CE and he rocked. A very fun build to play. Some users even feel that the slow cast rate is handy here, as it stops needless spamming of CE after everything is dead.

Also, although the FCR bug is a bit of a pain, you do get the FRW bug/feature/bonus/squirrel. Walking speed is as fast as running speed (which is pretty damn fast, incidentally), meaning stamina is no longer an issue.

Anyways, I kinda like the Vamp look :)
 
Trangs is viable ? = HELL YAH!

Practically walked through the whole game because of the set because my necro had phyiscal, Fire and Poison damage. So moaning about the fire skills is puzzling to me :scratch:

As for the vampire look. I can understand the cast rate problem but one of the main advantages is that you can run at walking speed and have no stamina drain not to mention the higher block rate because your technically walking despite flying all over the place.

IMO Trangs rock and still rock in 1.10 and no where near as distasterous as made out.

To start off, max poison tree need only 62 points, that leaves SM and SW could be (almost) maxed too.

Trang set removed the faster cast rate bonus, but with that it gives +%Poison damage and -% enemy poison resistant. This lead to the set being ideal to poison user as poison damage need duration like EuroJamies said.

On top of that I have tested and pretty sure trang set does not reset IAS, and the bonus still there, as a result we can combine open wound and poison dagger together as both of them need time to deal damages, just hit and run. I use this for bosses, for some reason, baal and Diablo cannot hit me with casting damage if I am melee range. For normal monsters, I use wand.

Trang set add overall 5 level to necromancer’s skill, this is rather nice for summoner, skelly at level 19 give you 8 skelly and with extra 5 points from trang it gives you 2 more. If you are lucky to have wand with revives on it, you will have a good number of serious meat shield for you. Usually I have 12 skellys. 11 revives (if I really need them)

After getting the proper skelly team, the skelly will usually “hold the lineâ€, that give you the freedom to stay back AmpDam and watch, as soon as a monster drop, use LR + PE, yeah it work wonders, it even do vemon lord boss pack in Chao sentry on solo game.

Coincide with that trang set give you fire damage which you can alternate with poison skill to use, it support the skelly / revive army and do rather well again poison and physical immune. In Baal thorn room with waves of monsters, just cast metor stack it with Sorc’s it is great.

Trang’s shield have high enough block to provide max block, remember, block come before Bone Armour, this is rather nice as it means physical attack monster means little to the user.

With Full trang in hell and some charms, I would usually have max resist for all, not to mention cannot be frozen from belt.

All in all, I would say Trang set is a godly set for the right build like poison and summoner hybrid. If you want a boner, go for uniqes.

I'm sorry, but you complain about them changing the necro identity, yet you seem to only be posting from a bonemancers perspective. Summoners and poisonmancers rock with this set.

I also like the skin change. Not only am I the master of death, I have become undead myself!
 
I think the new Trang's sucks as well. No good for my summoner as I cant cast CE for beans.. I need to be able to pop off several explosions a second to be really effective. Not 1 every 72 seconds....

As a matter of fact I have a full 1.09 trang set that I refuse to use anymore. was going to trade it but, as the set blows now, I can't even give it away!

It would be more logical to turn a necro into a mummy... it casts poison and raises undead already!

Barbs turning into wolfs... sick. Why not transforming my sorc into a valk impaling everything everywhere?
 
leave it to the necros, after recieving the single biggest boost skills and item wise(marrowalk anyone?) to ***** that their trang ouls set(which was often proved to be less effective than closely priced unique combos) has problems...you guys amaze me...

i reckon trangs set is great. around 100 to all resists, 5 to all skills, and still leave weapon open for the wand of choice (leoric for my summoner). my only problem with the set is actually the faster run walk. there is no way to make the dude walk! while this may not seem a problem, it is for my summoner. i find that when i walk really fast, my skellies get lost, left behind or whatever, and die, especially the mages and revives. and they arent being killed by monsters. once, i cleared the whole tamoe highlands, then ran from black marsh to the monastery, starting with a full army of 12 skellies, 8 mages, and 10 revives, and ended up with...5 skellies. i cant make the guy walk so i have to keep recasting everybody. while this isnt the end of the world for me, its a serious pain. but really the set rocks, and u get the vamp look. :yep: what more could u want

I was about to say the same thing. There always going to be someone, somewhere moaning about something that not right.

Just stop and wait for them every once in a while or, if you're impatient like me, get an ammy with some teleport charges on it.
