When I found a skill shrine, I unsummon all my minion and then resummon. Is that nessary?

If you want to receive the bonus of the shrine for you Skellies you do need to replace them. That can be done via unsummoning or, as Damric says, via just summoning more Skellies.

I dont even bother wasting time with that. I just summon until I have the max minions.
