This is going to be OT, and probably will derail the thread a little, but how does a singer perform in the Pits? Any better/faster/safer?
@TheBrave - ah that makes sense now, I used to have a tele ammy on my Fishy, but chucked it because I kept having to reset the hotkey each new game.

Well, it performs extraordinarily well if you're with top-notch gear like Kestegs's singer. If you have decent gear, though, i still think it performs well. Very safe, and you can fill your switch with dual gull or something and use find item for 50% more drops.
FoE has better gear than me and has timed himself so he can give you a better answer (he did score first in his category for the mfo with the char. . .)

Depends on what your goals are too, dustloop. If your goal is to maximize magic finding efficiency (say for a MF competition type situation), then a well geared/played p1-focus-on-bosses-only singer will almost definitely outperform any non-barb build, including a p1 speedy poison necro and a p7 kill lots of monsters poison necro (as well as lightsorcs and whatever else would be the most efficient Pit runners). That's just the nature of Barbs, Find Item is too good to compete with when you have the necessary gear (Enigma).
If your goal is to have a cool, sweet, powerful character which kills a billion monsters pretty fast with pretty high MF on pretty high player settings, a poison necro is going to outperform a singer.
If you're interested in making a singer I would check out kestegs Barb, I've never really built one myself.
