TPPK letter/e-mail writing attempt....

I don't play D2 at all anymore, but I don't think I don't remember what I felt (and somewhat still feel) about cheaters and what I think should be done to their private parts. For what ever it is worth... Just sent them the mail.

I saw you on just before I left work and wondered if you would stumble in here and join the fun! Thanks for the efforts Toli!

I'm looking to send a few more around, except I got an e-mail back about the proper hacks notification. It says game Realm, Account name, game, reason. Should I put "All Realms - Diablo - Map/grab/god/bothack - *hackersaccounthere?" I need some accounts to report then I guess.

Well, I just sent off my daily batch... this time, though, instead of sending separate e-mails to my list of recipients, I sent them all at once, so Blizz can see who else is receiving it :D

It's nice--I guess--that we're at least receiving some form messages. The one on the forum is slightly reassuring, since somebody had to at least take the time to sit down and cut-and-paste that pre-fab statement.

But I agree that the wishy-washiness of the language in these statements is disheartening. "May" ban accounts or CD keys, blah blah blah.

Ok ... now for the important stuff -

BABY!!!!!!

AWWWW!!!!!! He is so cute! You need to dress him in a little black onesie with the appropriate white stripe down the back for your next avvie!

I kinda laughed at Joseph's response in the battle.net forums. Blizzard "may" ban accounts? Blizzard may "temporarily" disable keys?

That company is a joke.

@Skunkbelly: Ya the gaffer is cute. Seemes to be saying "Die monster...die...to my level 18 Diaperball".

Speaking of which maybe you should ship the next one off to Blizz and call it real life symbolization of the state of B-Net.

:thanks:

Yep, he's a cutie! And you definitely want to flux when he uses his l33t Diaperball sk1llz. Sort of like CE, but the wrong color... ick. His special 2:30 a.m. warcries are also worth mentioning.

Cyradis: actually, he has this great skunk play blanket, so what I need to do is get a picture of him on there. That would be perfect. Cheesy, but perfect! :jig:

Hey Stinger, if it makes Blizzard put just a minor effort more in to getting rid of cheats and hacks it sure is worth my time, and more.

You, and some people on this forum, are amongst the few people existing who almost are as rabid about cheating as I was. Almost? Atleast I hope so considering the many times I almost had me a mental melt down when discussing cheating on these forums. :p

I just thought of another thing we should combine this campain with:

A concerted and coordinated effort to send as many screen shots of tppk's, maphack, god mode, etc... to the hack reporting address that Blizzard provides.

Perhaps set up some teams where one or more players create a "bait" character and one or more other players can observe and make screenies of what's going on in the game. They can not ignore the rise in reports for very long. We all know that the hacking and cheating problem has hit a critical point, but I doubt that Blizzard really realizes it or they have become de-sensitized to it. Sure, a lot of folks have sent reports in, but a sudden rise in reporting with the right details may just push them to act more decisively.

One other thing that should be emphasized is the quality of the reports. If this is done, it has to be done with as much reporting detail as possible. Get account names and if at all possible, ip addresses of the server this occurs in. I know that folks are able to track servers w/ potential Dclone spaws. Why not use the same method to add details to the hack reports?

If they have the ammo and documentation and they know that a number of users have the documentation as well, it may yet be another point of leverage.

What do y'all think about that idea?

Hey, you guys see my new Poll in the trade forum? Bit of research so if you all can participate and post it would be cool, and I got the ok from ZF bfore posting it there as I didnt know if he thought that really involved trading.

Uh...right. Let's break it down. We had botting in .09, don't remember many lines, 15x max. Last season, lots of botting...didn't notice many lines... This season, lots of botting, huge lines. Oh yeah, your argument makes sense.

Bots use the servers, dupes crash the servers.

Phantom- :drink:
Wrong, at the second half of 1.09 lines began appearing, directly because of the bot that caused these lines because blizzard cutted down their server power..

Just your friendly neighborhood Skunk, inquiring whether YOU have sent your friendly e-mails to Blizzard, gaming magazines, websites, etc. today!

((((aka, BUMP))))

Question: Has anyone ever tried to report web sites that have realm hacks and cheats? I've never looked but I'm assuming that some of the hackers and cheaters post their warez on their own sites. :spy:

TGIF BUMP.

This is my new letter, which I started sending out today to the usual suspects. Has anyone received anything like an interesting response? I.E., not a form letter?

Dear Blizzard, Inc.

Thanks for your recently announced action against cheaters and hackers on the Worldcraft III realms.

Now, do you think you could bother to do something about the rampant cheating, botting, map-hacking, TPPK-ing, etc. that is completely ruining Diablo II? Players of the game have been requesting action on these issues for some time, with absolutely no substantive response from Blizzard. Your lack of action is disappointing, and is ruining one of the best PC games of all time.

I have continued my volley of e-mails wiht abotu 4-6 a day and last night I got a reply from a specific person but inside it was still basically just another form letter.

I think I will adjust my e-mails to this message below at least it is somehting new for them to look at or not look at!!!

Meanwhile I am putting the smack on a few botters and it is halarious how they just keep doing it to themsleves.
