Man, beating the score of belgarion is just plain insane! :shocked:

It makes all my work gathering pictures redundant, but meh........... I'm going to continue anyway :thumbsup:
 
Technically, I could beat it because my game is in french. I met a unique balrog with the name: Le Démembreur Possédé: Le Tonnerre Chagrin ...which would count for 32 without the 'Le' :laugh:

I'm still gathering pictures, my :rant: is that this lap has print key installed, and by the empress politics I can't uninstall it (and I couldn't install anything either but :devil: ) so, every time I get a print screen, it takes me out of the game, but still, gathering pictures.......

Take a closer look, it says "Magie-resistant". Quite difficult to distinguish 'c' and 'e' in this typo.

Wow, the french version seems to have even longer names. Anyone with more than 32 letters ? Italian version perhaps ? I don't have any french, do the names in french make any sense ? The german ones do not actually, but they are sometimes quite funny :grin:
 
Most names in french don't really make sens. The one above could be translated like this: The Posessed Decapitator: The Mourning Thunder ...or something like it.

Paying more attention to the names now I guess they did not implement the names of 'normal' uniques in the game, but lists of words to be put inserted at the first, second, third... position in the name. Then the game will choose at random from the lists, sometimes generating some pretty funny or perfectly senseless names...

32!!!! The Engish versions will never match that :laugh: . I think I may have to impose another restriction on the non-English versions to keep the tournament fair.

The current longest English name combination would be "Dragon Grumble The Destroyer" at 25. Until that is exceeded in the English version, the maximum non-English length, after removing Le/La/De/Der/Das etc, is also set to 25.

Manolios and Belgarion are currently tied for the Longest Name Of The Week, which ends at 18:00 GMT tonight.

Sorry it took so long to get back here. I came home from Portland to find my power supply not powering anything. I got it fixed (replaced) though so I will hopefully have some more pictures soon.

I already have a few jade talons in my stash and am playing self found. If you have no problem with me putting it in a giveaway in the near future then go ahead and mail it to Manolios128 at yahoo dot com. If Belgarion has use for it though then I have no problem passing it to the runner up. Either way is okay with me.

1&2)Weekly prizes are seperate from the main prize. You can make as many entries as you want but only your highest will have a shot at winning the grand prize. The only thing you can't do is reuse pictures once they have been posted.

Tracul: Thanks for joining in. Just post pictures in groups of five. As Monolios said, enter as many times as you like. The weekly prize was introduced as an incentive to keep people posting images, rather than keeping them until the last week. Even if your five pictures don't score the highest overall score, the picture with the longest name can win the prize for that week.
