Top X moments of D2

Here's a few of mine:


- My first Patriarch! :D

- Those exploding dolls down in Durance of hate level 1-3 while playing a melee char.

- Doom knights with IM while playing a melee char.

- When i finally got all the gear i wanted for my Conc barb (my first patriarch and my pride). I was somewhat proud with him, so i wanted to duel my friends hammerdin, only to watch my pride die by 2 hammers. That was a sad day. ;)

- Duelled a bowazon long time back, hit me with one arrow, and my health dropped from max to 1hp. Imba poison :embarassed:

- The feeling when you see a unique <3

- Countless pindel/pit runs
 
-Death of a hardcore character (losing my first ever - a Trapper - to a doll in the Durance, and losing my 91 druid to the FE Bug the day the FE Bug came out)

-Finding Occulus for the first time ever. This was on B.net, either 1.08 or 1.09, can't really remember. Anyway, I was in the process of crapping my pants as I identified the item and leaving the game to show a friend in another game. Anyone remember when Battle.net had the nasty habit of not saving your character/items upon save and exit sometimes? Yeah, I had no Occy when I joined a new game. Poof. Gone.

-Finding my first and only SOJ, nightmare Trav with an IK Barb.
 
This just happened hours ago. I was doing pindle runs as usual, I saw the gold letters "war pike" and a gray ogre maul. I decided to pick both of them, picked up the war pike, put in the cube, tp to harrogath, then as i was putting it into the stash......damn, electrics went off. Of course it was gone, and if I had saved the game immediately after I picked it up, I would have it.
There are lots of these moments, like seeing a TC87 unique/set drop, or identifying a unique ring/amulet.
 
My number one moment is right now. My computer was having problem reading CDs so I decided to try to reinitialise it. Alas it didn't solve anything and now I can't reinstall D2 anymore so that's a forced retirement (I'm too lazy to bother having that **** repaired) . Funny... I'm curious at how this will change my life...
 
my best moment was last year when i found my first windforce. psyched, i left for class, got back around 5 and started playing again. first run....another windforce....
 
1) When i bought the game with the expansion
2) Having trouble to have as much energy as vita
3) When i killed Baal (i remember me calling it a big bad weird-looking monster) and realized i had made only 1/3 of the game
4) My first acc on bnet
5) Getting slaughtered a couple dozen of times by the ancients
6) When i got Mal Mal and Ist in the same week
7) When i made my first runeword (Rolled to a +1bo cta :sad2: )
8) Can't remember of the others
 
A new favorite moment of d2 to add:

Hitting 99 with my Blizzballer and realizing there is really no point in playing anymore.

Probably the one moment I will always remember is picking up LOD.... I had long been playing my classic Barb Thrower (Spearthrower) even though they were really shocking back then. Suddenly there was this 800x600 resolution and he could hit things before they were smacking him in the face! Added to that, he also picked up endlessly better equipment every day from then on. With /players 8 he finally got enough levels to beat the game - prior to LOD it was really hard in SP to get enough levels to get through Hell without a total cookie cutter build.

Other great moments are mostly from this forum! ;)
 
My best moment ever was the day I traded 2 guls and a lightning skill gc for my beloved 36 grief. I´d been playing for a long time but never gotten my hands on a truly godly item before... the game became infinitely fun.
