Hi all,

This is going to be the place where I give updates for characters and/or goals I've had for D2 resurrected.

In the last 24 hours, I've learned that both Anni and the Hellfire Torch is possible to obtain in single player with no mods (so glad I didn't trash all of the Keys of Terror I've farmed so far). This has made me so much more excited for the months and years to come playing this game because it's been well over 10 years since I've been on b.net and fought Key Bosses, Ubers, or Diablo Clone.

I've currently got a level 91 Blizz Sorc, a level 91 Javazon, a level 75 Sorc, and one Necro/Barb/Sin/Druid/Pally all under level 70. For some reason, I enjoy mfing and rune hunting as much as I do questing. The drop system in this game is my favorite aspect so it makes a bit of sense. I've farmed a bit of Countess (~500 runs), Pindle (~1000 runs or so), Pits (~250 runs), cows (~100 runs), and hell Baal (~250 runs). For the last 3 weeks i've been running LK on /p8 and have managed to find a decent cache of high runes. I'm the equivelant of 4 Surs away from making Enigma and Infinity so once that happens, I will say farewell to LK and figure out where to go next.

Anni, Enigma, Infinity, CtA, and Grief are checked off the goals list. Next on the list is the Hellfire Torch!

With the mf/rf tourney over, I decided to finally make and use Grief for the first time. I don't play enough melee builds and this overpowered runeword will make trying some non-cookie-cutter builds much easier in Hell. I'm glad the rolls don't matter for my main goals for this weapon (Uber smiting), because the IAS and +dmg rolled very low. Good grief



However, it's still Grief and slaps hard. I've been using an upped Ribcracker on my shock mauler werebear and with Grief, the difference was pretty noticeable even after going from 65% total CB to 15% total. I'm currently in NM Act 4 and have been running /p8 since Normal. I should be early 70s before reaching Nightmare Baal.

My goals for the near future include making an Uber Smiter and farming some torches.

Long-term (thinking in decades heh) goals would be to also start playing D2 LoD again (fresh restart) and make a separate goal list than the one I have for D2R. I don't know if i'll end up liking the changes in the upcoming D2R patch, so it'll be nice to always have D2 LoD for long-term goals and PvP.

For now, I'm going to save big streaks of Mf'ing and rune hunting for future tournaments!
