Thumbs up for Blizzard

LMAO,

Guess what. I just got banned for clicking too fast in a game. I was running Diablo with my trapsin and was laying down ls and spamming shockweb.

Appearently Blizzard decided that fast gameplaying is not allowed on their servers. wat the **** are those idiots thinking. Hell difficulty requires swift, fast clicking and manouvering.

This is getting redicilous

you will have to be a bit more specific here. So you were playing the game, got booted and then tried to log back in and got the "your banned" message?

no 3rd party programs? no friends who might have logged onto your account?

He probably means an IP restriction, or realm down.

Thats what I thought at first, but who can do Diablo fast enough to get R/D? Heck, just hitting all the seals and waiting for him to spawn would take long enough to avoid it, let alone killing all the minions and him.

you get realm down from making/joining too many games in a short amount of time... it has nothing to do with killing diablo

You dont get banned for "clicking" to fast while in game, something else happened, mabey just a relm down, it happens. It dosent mean that Blizzard are "idiots" thats just stupid to think like that.

I recall people who posted about getting R\D after scrolling their mousewheel too quickly in a short amount of time. [This involved a paladin and his auras flashing]

And this random R\D crap IS idiotic. It's stupid to be temp banned when you've done absolutely nothing.

Yes, you can get banned doing just that. If you're fast enough that is. I had it happen before, but I thought it was just a server issue. Blizzard bans IP's if you're flooding the server with too many packets. In chat this happens when you spam in quick succession. Granted, I can understand giving somone a temporary ban for unnecessary spam. But while playing you can get banned for clicking, interacting too fast. It's pathetic. This game is supposed to be played fast.

And the thing about the scrollwheel, changing aura's is true. You can flood the server really quick with this and you'll get a ban guaranteed.

This is true, scrolling quickly through auras results in a temp ban. For what reason, the world will never know.

Scrolling will get a temp ban. Spamming LF has also done it for me. Taking a tp from the worldstone chamber and running up to malah and clicking her has done it. Last but not least, entering act 5 for the first time no matter the difficulty does it every time. Seems patch 1.11 has added more than just new RW's and items.

I had that happen to me, and someone explained it's because you are sending too much information to the servers, and because of that, they think you are hacking, and they temp ban you.

Either way, it's absolutely retarded imho.

I haven't gotten any realm downs from entering act 5 for the first time on any of the difficulties, and I've rushed up over 20 characters for forge purposes.

About the clicking on NPC's, if you click them over and over (what some people do when lag starts to settle in), then it can cause a realm down. This is similar to the scrolling through skills too quickly.

i think the time you are in temp banned really depends on how often you try to reenter the realm after being booted, because for me, the first time i got R/D i tried rejoining every 5-10 minutes and it lasted around an hour an a half, but now as soon as i get realm down i just go have a smoke eat something come back in 20 minutes and Voila i am back online. I think this is done because bots when they get kicked they try to join battle.net over and over again, so if y ou just stop all activity from your IP then your ban is shorten...I am not 100% sure on this but this is from personal expiriance

I smoke a lefty when I get the realm down, but quite often that results in my getting engrossed in something other than d2 for an hour or so
