I'll join. I can't start immediately, though, as I have just restarted and have to get through normal first. But, I wanted to sign up...

Actually it's not true since act V has 6 quests :D act IV has 3 :lol: j/k the scores look good.

I find it interesting that both chars I started finished with almost exactly the same exp to the completion of Quest 3. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, they have to cover the same areas to get there...

One green item so far, Cleglaws Shield. One NDE for peanut with a LE returned boss. I thought she was a goner, ran out of potions etc, but managed to TP out in the nick of time.

Finds so far: Infernal Cap, Biggen's Bonnet and Pluckeye.

FoOl ran the countess for a while and made herself a Leaf Short Staff (already had +3 to Charged Bolt) so now both her main spells have 3 extra points :)
MoFo got twinked with a 3 Chippy Bow and a +20 Life Cap and Leather Armour and at level 7 does 19-68 damage.
I decided to change my plans for him, I'm now maxing Holy Freeze, Res Cold, Res Fire, Holy Fire and Salvation. Now CI's wont be hard to deal with (I hope)
I think SlApPeR will be the easiest character so Im going to start her last.

Well, all three were either dropped by the Countess or on the way to her. Just a shame that none can be used :(

Wouldn't matter anyway, its a self found grail. Also wouldn't matter if I found them myself in the tourney since they are then up for grabs.

Took a little break yesterday/today so couldnt go on with the other chars, my assa is doing some pretty nice damage already with here traps, mana potions are already needed after setting up around 10 traps though :s
Luckely she gambled a poleaxe with 40ED so my merc is doing a whopping 60-120 damage :D.
Also i found a few new things, another ral rune from the countess and some el/eld/tir, thinking of running her some more to make a nice ancient pledge shield, second i found my first set item! a hzarus belt which is going into the treasure chest.
Finally i want to which everybody good luck with their characters, may they live long ;)
 
If you have mana problems you could try socketing everything with tir's.. I was planning on that too but I haven't found 1 yet :cheesy:

Traps dont work with + mana after each kill IIRC

EDIT: "One other note, +mana per kill items do not work with traps."

I guess it's about time for my first update. Nothing much to talk about no finds just slowly slugging my way through act 1. I won't be getting much play time over the next few weeks. I have a lot of tests and assignments to do and study for. My next step is to attempt to get one of my chracters to act 2 for the cube.

* - My amazon has not gone to Act III as listed in the scoreboard. She can't until my sorceress gets to Act II. She just finished shopping Drognan for a wand for Mr_Bone. It's got +2 to Bone Spear and +3 to Golem Mastery. The Golem Mastery is obviously not going to be of any use. I was aiming for +2 to +3 bone spear in a non-magic bone wand to later be used for the 'White' Runeword. I did find a +3 bone spear bone wand, but it had mana leach. :rant:

Mr_Bone used his lvl 7 Teeth (5 hard points, +2 from wand) to shoot his way through Act I. At slvl 7, it wasn't too shabby, especially after lvl 12 when I started dumping points into bone wall. Andariel was no threat whatsoever. I cast Bone Walls to block her from my rogue and I, and she decided to melee the walls. She was then Amp'd and promptly killed. The Countess dropped an Eld and a Ral. I will most likely be doing countess runs with my sorceress to get some low level runewords. I would really like 'Stealth' and 'Ancient's Pledge'.

Also, I need a rules clarification. The first post mentioned that items that gave a boost to skills in a tree you can't use are okay as long those skills aren't used. For example my wand I just bought has +3 to golem mastery, which I obviously can't use since I can't cast a golem, so it is okay. But what if my sorceress was to find an orb with say... +3 to Chain Lightning and +1 to Warmth. Warmth is passive, so it doesn't require active use...it is 'always on.' I would assume that this would be a major no-no, as would any other 'always on' passive skills not in someone's two trees, for instance the passive tree of the barbarians. Just wanted to make sure of this.

That's how I understand it - I'm scared of finding a perfect orb with +warmth on it. :)

Polgara has made it up to level 13 and has killed the countess. She dropped a Tir and an Eth! Now I've got the runes to make a Stealth armor. That'll go to Zedar, my necromancer. She's packing an orb with +2 ice blast, and things are dropping pretty quickly.

Took me a while to get started because there were five builds I wanted instead of three... so I grabbed my two favtorite classes (pal, sin) and the least item-dependant of the other three (sorc). Had to leave out the Druid and Zon.

April is lvl 14 after rescuing Cain (3 points)

Yeah, I noticed as well. Three builds I felt I would be successful at in hardcore...well, except the sorc--I have bad luck with them.

BTW, I loved the Belgariad and Mallorean. :thumbsup:
