The Official KoL Thread

Im only lvl4, i guess my HP is good for that lvl. But i dont know if HP helps in PvP.

Ill Google abit and try to find out . . .

Whee, just applied to the Clan upon becoming level 3. Now to go waste my remaining adventures!

(edit: That's SolarShade the level 3 Frog Director, just so's you know :) )

applied middle of the night, when i woke up i realized i should probably also post it here.

moo_cow, lvl 4 pastamancer

Ok of the people that have applied to the SPF clan, only these three are still awaiting acceptance:

Alliance
Waldo Wussfoot
Death_Dealer

Now i know we have a death_dealer at the SPF, just wanna make sure it is the same one.

So come on people, claim your right to join the SPF clan.

P.S. We are currently the second largest clan :D

Whenever I know not the meaning of something I turn to Dictionary.com, which yields this for moxie:

mox·ie ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mks)
n. Slang

1. The ability to face difficulty with spirit and courage.
2. Aggressive energy; initiative: “His prose has moxie, though it rushes and stumbles from a pent-up surge†(Patricia Hampl).
3. Skill; know-how.

moxie

\Mox"ie\, n. [fr. Moxie, a trade name for a beverage.] 1. energy; pep.

2. courage, determination.

3. Know-how, expertise. --MW10.

So there you go.

KoL Clan Promotion

I have posted this in our clan, but for some reason it takes out all the returns and shows it as one block of text, which is kind of unreadable, so i have posted it again here. Hope it is easier to read. Any question, please feel free to ask.

Basically, what we want is to get the clan as far as possible, so that we all benefit from it (e.g. more meat or more adventures). The problem is that these are long term goals. Buying a calendar costs money, that we do not have yet.

So what I propose is that the higher the clan karma you have, the higher rank you will be awarded. Apart from your first promotion, which we be awarded as soon as you have donated at least 100 meat to the cause.
After this first promotion the other promotions will be granted on the following basis.

Sash – Clan karma > 2000
Superior Sash – Clan karma > 5000
Demonhide sash – Clan karma > 10,000
Spiderweb sash – Clan karma > 15,000
String of ears – Clan karma > 20,000
Arachnid’s mesh – Clan karma > 35,000

A benefit of promotion is that you get more access to SPF clan stuff, listed below is what you get per level of promotion, and below that is more detailed description of each item.

0-Normal member-(none)
1-Cracked Sash-view log, post announcements
2-Sash-buy clan items, view log, post announcements
3-Superior Sash-take goodies, buy clan items, view log, post announcements
4-Demonhide Sash-approve take goodies, buy clan items, view log, post announcements
5-Spiderweb Sash-approve, take goodies, buy clan items, view log, post announcements, clan attack
6-String of Ears approve, promote, take goodies, view log, post announcements, clan attack
7-Arachnid's Mesh-approve, promote, boot, take goodies, buy clan items, view log, post announcements, clan attack

Below is a more detail description of the above abilities

Can promote members to new ranks
Can boot members from clan
Can take clan goodies without expending Clan Karma
Can buy items with clan funds
Can view clan activity log
Can post clan announcements
Can initiate clan attacks

As the Clans founding member I will retain ultimate control and as such have to power to not only promote, but to demote as well, so anyone considered to be abusing their power by the SPF clan members will be demoted down to a appropriate level. You have been warned :D

Someone who knows this game should teach the rest of us how to "smart-eat" to get more turns per day?

Im having a hard time getting enough to eat . . .
we have to eat???

I am so lost

You don't have to eat - but eating food gives you more turns for adventuring, so it's quite handy. Although I've found only one tomato thus far food-wise and can't find anywhere to buy any (maybe if I go to the Bugbear Bakery in diguise? Dunno, haven't got that far yet...)

when you hit ~lvl 4.5, the council will give you a bunch of quests that you will then go try to do and will get rocked in the process cause going to those areas is waaaaaay over your head till you've got some sweet gear. at least that's what happened to me. :D

Edit: so i think i'm doing something wrong when it comes to meatsmithing... i've got a sword hilt and a meat stack. this is supposed to make a meat sword, but it doesn't work... any suggestions?

what is a good place to adventure I got a lvl 4 pastamancer, need some nice equipment.. spooky woods are too easy I think... or..?

You need dense meat stacks to smith.
