The League of Extraordinary Paladins

A month ago I mentioned gathering up an all-paladin Griswold team so now I would like to get some people interested in joining. I have made a website as a recruitment device so hopefully it works. :thumbsup: Check out the site, post your thoughts and reply if your interested. Thanks!

nice web page man, i jsut might join if i can bumb the set off my friend that doens't use it lol, nvm i just read it for west realm good idea though.
 
It's too bad that you're on USEAST because I would sign up in an instant. Perhaps there are people from USEAST that will read this and will want to start one.

I had a group before and it's a lot of fun. Mind you we all didn't have Griswold's set, but it was still pretty cool.

The point of the movie was everybody had their own special skill and look. I don't see how everybody having the same set items makes it "extrodinary". The league "I think" should be based on pumping up team helping skills and be good in team pvp. I dunno but thats just my thoughts on it. I like the concept and webpage though.
 
I think it's a great idea. The idea of everyone having the gris set does make it extraordinary. It sets restrictions, and makes the game playable again. No one player with uber equipment ... strategy will have to be taken into consideration, especially considering the equipment allowed. No more jumps from Duriel to Trav runs. I believe it's designed to be more about the game than pvp. And that's refrehing.

I'm on USEast and I do have the time to play. If I could find a way to get the set on USWest I'd join.
 
Great Idea! I'm new to DII. My first character to reach Hell is a Level 82 Hammerdin (all of my characters sucked until I found these forums). I would love to start a new Pally and join the league. Unfortunately, I'm just starting, so I haven't seen any of the Gris set yet. I'll check back if I get the required Griz set.
 
Yes the movie inspired the name I picked but thats it. Everyone will still have their own skills and auras though. After completing the set I thought it would be cool to get a group of Gris users together to take a run at hell. The idea was to get an all-paladin team together that was different than the usual ones. All of our equipment would be the same. No one would have the distinct advantage which would make us rely on our team skills more. Like you guys said no skipping quests and no rushing. It would be all about the game and the paladin. What paladin fan wouldnt want to see 8 shiny Griswold sets on the same screen anyway? :clap:

I will probably drop out the Holy fire paladin in favor of a Might paladin. No mercs are allowed either. Dont want a stray holy freeze or defiance aura being added in to our group.
 
what would make this even better(my opinion),

if u some how got a pvp clan out of this. But only using Gris Set, so the whole clan is uniform. as the clan would be like LxP__ and instead of each person helping one another do baal runs, have each person make a pvp person out of gris set. Like zealots , v/t's, avengers, etc....

that would be very cool, and maybe even i would join then if u had it pvp instead of pvm.

im on UsWest non ladder.

just an idea...


or just have a pvp section of the group. and keep the other baal runners seperate. Something like that would be neat.
 
So who all is interested so far? ROMVS sounds like he is definitely interested and has a set. Everyone else seems interested but is on east or doesn't have the set. I do have an armor and a 1.09 helm I would be willing to give to someone who needs them. (both unsocketed).

Griswolds set is easier than ever to get a hold of. Go try to trade for it if your interested. There are a lot of people trading them cheaply nowadays.

i thought it would be neat to have a clan or something full of gris pala for pvp.

well what u think of that idea....?? :lol: if it sucks just let me know i'll stop posting lol.. :lol:

They probably do, but I have a different problem, I'm stuck on the Europe Realm with all the hacker germans. If anyone wants to try this on Europe realm I'll trade for a gris set! Or if someone want to join the dark side I'll give items on europe for it.... like that will happen...

This sound very interesting....will players who participate be able to hire Mercs to provide extra Auras like Might and Blessed Aim?

I would want to join, but as I'm from a completely different timezone from the US(nearly opposite, in fact), and don't have Griswold's set, I'll probably have to pass...

Uh oh Ark, by your post, it sounds like your on west? Sadly, I'm an eastie.
 
Damn you East and Europe guys. Doesnt anyone play on west anymore? Well like I said I have a 1.09 helm and an extra armor. Maybe you east and europe guys can do a bit of trading for the set.

Im on the fence in terms of the Mercs.. I would rather not have Mercs since we would have a Might paladin instead of the holy fire. I dont know what it is but I just dont like Mercs. ehhehe :scratch:

pow wow, Can you get a set on uswest non ladder?

Come on guys I know there are quite a few die hard paladins around that would find this pretty fun. 8 Griswold paladin pvm party. Check the URL on my first pos if interested.
