Had a great time last night. First off, Mark joined me to help get my bo barb past hell ancients. With bone prison and decrep, they were a pushover. Then Walt joined us and we decided it was time to get our first guardians. The trip through WSK and the minions were surprisingly easy. Baal was a little tougher, only because he kept going after Mark and killing off my oak sage, but he went down as well. We pretty much walked these characters all the way from act 5 normal, and it felt good to make it all the way with no death.
Then back to the channel, which was almost full. Walt, Chris(dfa, afk), Neo, Pat, Dubby, Bryan and Mike all showed up, so we decided to start an untwinked team. (I think evarion popped in and out a little too). Just kinda got started, I think most of us got up to lvl 7 and the stony field wp. Going to try and play a little more sometime today, if anyone else wants to join in, I believe we have a druid, necro, barb, zon and sin so far. Surprisingly, no sorc yet.
As far as playing today, I'm taking the dog to the park here in a couple, then I will be parked in front of the comp most of the afternoon with some college football on the TV, my usual practice on Saturdays, God bless my understanding but long suffering wife
I think I got everyone added last night, and for anyone looking for me, I can almost always be found on *irish2irish2. My experience with teams of this many is that they can die from lack of coordinated times pretty easily, so I might suggest that we try to get in no more than a couple hours, once or twice a week max, to keep it nice and easy for everyone to participate. Up to everyone else, as I am on more than that.
We also have room for at least a couple more people, if anyone else is interested, just stay untwinked, and look me or Mark up today sometime and we would be happy to help you get up to around the right level and ready to go.
It sure is good to see all those "old-timers" coming back to refresh the isle with some enthusiasm. The last few weeks have seen a dramatic increase in some good group play and some good people to hang out with as well. The group of regulars that have been playing for a while now (like Lou, Nestor, Rach, Xtor, I always forget people and I don't play with everyone so forgive me), are a great group of folks to play with, and with some of the "old-timers" coming back, it is easy to see the common style and attitude that binds us all in this group; respect and consideration, playing for the fun of the game, and enjoying company of trustworthy people who you can also sit down and just gab with for a while. Lots 'o fun. Enough rambling for me, I'm off to the park, see you all in a bit.
