For those who are of questionable beliefs in the realm of pking who wana come over and scope it out your welcome to run as well dont use team tag though plz. Also if you start pking over there can't run /w ya. However I'm gona make a barb v barb dueler if that will take care o anyones pvp desires while campin on asia this is primarily for the pvm public though

When you log on there is 1 count em 1 usa channel thats it.
If no one is there its a small chance to find some axion in op teb.
if nothing there then either in a game or not online

Caught this thread late, but plan on checkin out Asia sometime tonight. I'm thinkin barb frenzy or throw.

I haven't quite figured out the TEB thing. I'm assuming you are using it to ID one another when on. Any special rules associated?
 
i made acc on asia (mert)
started with baba I had on eu months ago (berserk-howl)
wont be able to kill hell cs 8 ppl, but will give BO and help wit crowd control ^^
when I get decent bonesnap and rattlecage, I make ww baba, more useful everywhere, except cs, where he can only leech

i also just saw this thread. i generally quit playing d2 due to the poor quality of east atm and was planning on starting up again with the next ladder reset, but this idea sounds pretty good. i'm about to go check out how laggy it is with my cable (NC). not sure what character i'll start but you can find me at *z3r0-asia

or some good fire absorb. in 1.09? maybe earlier... i used to run nm diablo with a blackhorn's face. (this was when d's lightning hose >> fire hose). Then his cold attacks/phys attacks would hurt me, but his lightning hose would heal me back up. I could stand there forever. It was wonderful :D
 
yeah i started a spearzon, i think... its lvl 13 played wit ha few people tonight. onyl one i remember was unholy. but it ws a good night, pretty much no1 else on. hope to see u all on.

although that sounds like a good idea, the fact of the matter is that if there are people playing in your difficulty you will see their game. i played for about 4 or 5 hours yesterday and saw a max of maybe 3 games up at one time. with the use of "/f l" and the low number of games, it isn't worth posting each game on the forums. it was a good idea, but we figured out that teblets are about the extent of the asia classic population.

Well I managed to get on and play a bit last night..no problem connecting no lag. Started a lightning javazon (TEB-Viasia). Saw Bigboo for a bit (thanks for the shield). Someone else from TEB came on and heaped a world of goods on me. Made it to level 5 and stopped after killing Blood Raven and one of Crypt or Mausoleum.

A few surprizes...having only played classic for about a week about two years ago I had forgotten much. Carefully planned out my javazon annd considering how to deal with LI's by either going with high elemental pike or bow with freezing arrow on switch...on switch....on switch?????....dang no switch. Oh well I think, I'll just load up some other damage on my merc. Now to put a nice three socket hunters on my rogue I just hired. Hmmm dang why won't "O" work. (press....press.....press harder....nothing). (Dim light comes on recalls cannot equip merc...bloody hell). Thanks also for the new mini-chest to store .....well....practically nothing. (Note to self-make mule soon).

Well there were a few revelations. But gee I am now really looking forward to some different challenges. I think it's going to be a blast.

A few questions for you classic players....

1. Is there any value in hiring a merc in classic? Will they ever live long enough or dish out enough damage to become useful? Or are they just a cash drain?

2. With no weapon switch is trying to deal out a second type of damage for LI's viable. I figure by the time I identify LI's, run away a bit open inventory, switch weapons and close inventory I am dead. Should I just pump lightning and count on partying up in nightmare and beyond? (unless merc can help dep on answer to 1).

3. Is there a classic guide somewhere?
