As far as i know the block doesn't work on Act 3 mercs..

As if they weren't useless already.... now that's the final nail in the coffin.

Str bugging on mercs is basically the same as on players in 1.11. You can't have an item equipped relying only on +str from itself, only if there is something else with +str equipped.

Verified. The merc I did my testing on has a Duriel's Shell.

What I'm saying is that you CAN "float" an item on a merc. It won't turn red as long as total str on merc is greater than the highest str req on an item.

Hmm, I'm quite sure that it will for a merc, but it obviously doesn't make sense to make a "Yes, it does ! - No, it doesn't ! - Yes ! - No !" discussion :azn: I will try that this evening if it won't take too many efforts to find items with the right bonuses and reqs.

BTW, I didn't mean to accuse you of cheating, of course. What I wanted to say is that it might be possible to equip a Stormshield on an act merc with ATMA and perhaps the game only checks reqs when changing gear for the merc and not at all the other times it does it for characters, so it might not notice the str bug issue then.

There is no str bug for mercs, so that won't work.

Wrong aswell. I´m to lazy to prove that aswell. Try it out yourself.

As far as i know the block doesn't work on Act 3 mercs..

Is that just a statement or do you want to share some proves?
