I'll join with Dex and S/U/C. Most of my chars are twinked to the gills so I'd better go practice relying on my merc to kill everything :rolleyes: .
 
About the whole stash thing, are you only allowed to stash stuff your previous character is actually wearing? Like let's say I'm playing a sorceress in act 1 and I find this really sweet necro head. Can I stash it and use in act 4 when I happen to be assigned a necromancer?

Just a quick suggestion- for people using "GoMule", the ability to have different projects is great for tourneys like these. You can create a SUTC4 project, and have all your gold and items there where there is no way to mix them up with other characters' gold and items.

@Fabian- if it's like the other SUTC tourneys, you can stash anything you find with that character, gems, runs, charms, items, and gold.

I thought I'd emphasize that in previous tournaments, if you receive your next character before completing your current one, you should NOT even 'inspect' the new character until you complete and send your current one...

I consider it motivation to keep up. :grin:

Three weeks, tops, which means I'm in. Yay. I'm ok with the rushing either side of the vacation. As I understand, resigning means a character is abandoned, and I definitely don't want that.

Random.org gave me a 4 and a 1: Energy + white items. On second thoughts, points in Energy would be a bit sadomasochistic, so I rerolled that. Vitality this time.

In the interest of fun, I'd like to revise my pick to energy, if that's ok.

Also, question about the personalization reward. Can we only use that item on the character that it's personalized for, or on any character thereafter as well?

With the upcoming ladder project, the bountyhunter character and my 1.07 project as well as HF rushing project vs. LK running I don't know if it would be wise to join...but 2 weeks is a lot, right? Right??

I'll prolly wind up signing on at the closing day, and then pick the least picked stat (cos I'm evil like that).
A little tourney creator told me to be honest with myself, which is annoying, since that means being forced to surrender my fantasies of being the only non-castrated male guarding a harem of past/present and future Miss universe contest winners.
Let's see... Cin I finish one act in two weeks? I guess so.
But hey. In the interest of shortening this tourney a bit, or perhaps better said, balancing the act load out, wouldn't it be more fair to make the deadline for Act IV say 10 days, and add 4 days to the deadline of Act V? I mean, those two acts are a bit unbalanced sizewise, you know....
For now, I lean heavily towards Magic items, but SUC has its charms as well... Allthough getting something rolling in the SUC department will be... challenging.
How do Charms fit in btw? Or is this mentioned already?

EDIT : Ah, caught the charm rule at the end. Good, sorry about the superfluous kwestion then

white seems to be a great overall option, but if i get far enough along i know i will be kicking myself for not going S/U/C or rare for those quest items...arghh skunkbelly! oh well at least i will not have AE causing my death this time around:grin:
 
Glad to see this one's getting a good response.

I think most questions have been answered by other contestants, except the question about act 4. Since act 4 *is* so short, I wouldn't mind making that a one-week act... but we'll see how things are going when we get there.

Oh, 1 other question... When sending on characters, can information about skill point allocation be send on as well? So if say poops decided to build a singer barb with his starting char, can he send this info along, so the next player in line knows where to put his skill points?

This was prohibited in the previous tourney, if i recall correctly.

I think the next player will know as soon as he/she receives the character :grin:


I think I'll probably join - do still have to think about equipment though...

I think this can be a problem only in the first acts where the character's build can not be known from the skills. After a while it will be quite clear.

And even if you know the build a person has every right to put points to different points. For example if a druid is going the werebear path for the first act, the second person can put points to rabies and use werewolf form because it would be easier to pass that act that way probably.

However there is a significant trade off there because you never know when you will get to play with that character again :wink3:
