C'mon, it's child's play to make an effective character in KOTOR. In fact, it was so dang easy I went back and played through with a PISTOL Jedi, wielding only guns! It was great fun to watch Malek spinning around in mid-air while I opened up charred blaster holes in him.
Seriously, though - Demon Limb for pre-buffing Enchant on a nice 2-handed sword is where it would be at. Passion plus some serious CB would work fine with a maxed Mind Blast (the most Jedi-like power the Assassin has!). I ain't buying Phoenix Strike or any of the traps - they don't really do the job. I like the idea of the Shadow Master since, as stated before, there are always two Sith: Master and Apprentice. Especially since your apprentice (rather appropriately, I think!) is so disposable - think how many Sidious went through!
Problem is you can't really explain a merc away. You'll have to go it alone, I think. Also BoS is better than Fade, since the Jedi are always lightning quick. Likewise for Dragon Flight, what with all the leaping around they do.
There are some older threads on this, but I'm too lazy to dig them up.
