Stacking of auras on you and merc

I was wondering if auras stack?

Let's say you have a act2 might merc. Then you put pride on him for level 18 concentration. Will you get the benefit of both?

What if merc has might and you wear the pride for lvl 18 conc? Does it stack?

Not quite; if you have one aura weapon on the switch, one on your main, and one on your merc, you'll only have two auras at a time: your active weapon and the merc. The weapon on your switch only gives its aura when you're using it.

They can all be on at the same time, not on weap switch. Does all this stack?

to make this clear: Yes, auras do stack if they are all active at once. They will not override each other. This means your barb can have 2 weapons with different auras, helm, shield, armor with one aura each etc, and guess what? They will all stack! :teeth:

Not very effective in the long run perhaps, since you will have to sacrifice items that may work better for your build just to get more auras, but it sure looks cool

Ah yes, that would work if an amazon was holding the bow. I was under the impression from the way his sentence was laid out that he was thinking he could put one weapon on one switch, one on the other, and they would stack.

To that end, you could stack as many auras as you wanted via merc, weapons, and paladin friends, as long as no two of them were the same. If two were the same, the higher aura would override.

It's easy to get +4 to skills on a merc, but generally not as much on a Barbarian. But, the Fanaticism aura is always better for the person wearing it, even with 4 more skills on the merc.

What about Doom? Do people generally put that on a Holy Freeze merc, or do they put them on Might mercs to give two different auras?

People generally put Doom on Might Mercs for the dual auras. There's no benefit to placing Doom on a Holy Freeze merc, since he already has the aura.

You cant put beast on any mercenary,it works on axes scepters & hammers only.If you are an aura fanatic,you can do this:

Dualwield beast:Level 18 Fanatisicm.(yes same auras @ same levels stack)even holy shock from dream helm/armor stacks.
Might mercenary:20ish might Might aura
Pride on might:Level 18 Concentration.

Thats 884% ed to you & 714%ed to hireling/party.:lady:
