OK, OK. Back in the day, we used to settle our differences in the boxing ring. If caught fighting, the gym teacher would tell us to come to the gym after school and fight there, in controlled circumstances. Much better than what they do today.

Since we are fighting, or arguing here, I think it is best to settle the differences in the boxing ring. Or just outside the Rogue Encampment. I just want to know who beats the guy with the graphing calculator. Bring an abacus and you may very well beat him.

Let's make sure this doesn't turn into a flame war.

I wasn't really being serious here. And I definately didn't mean to flame him.

Now I will give the guy a tip or two, ok, I'm feeling generous, so two.

1) For a speeder, you generally don't need "sick AR." When dueling sorcs you don't need much, and you don't want to wear angelics, you would be giving up too many potential resists. My barb has about 2k I think, and that is plenty against sorcs. Against Hdins with lots of defence you may need angelics, but probably only one ring.

2) Leech doesn't really do much in pvp anymore. You can get all the life steal you want, but you will still gain about 5 hps per hit.

Also, I'm assuming (yes I know what I do when I assume) from his other posts that he isn't very wealthy. So if he does get a -30 req exe, it probably won't be much damage. So I wasn't really fighting with him, I was just trying to imply that his plan of action wasn't looking too good from my perspective.

But of course, if he wants to duel me I will.

EDIT: My graphing calculator batteries are running pretty low, so I am probably ez pk. :cry: Do abacus' exist anymore? I thought they only existed as pictues in textbooks?

EDIT EDIT: What do they do today to solve disputes? I'm an old fashioned type of guy, so I wouldn't mind roughing it up.
 
No problem, WL. I just like to nip things in the bud. Sometimes I like to wait a day or two to see how you guys handle certain people. But this is the kind of thing to nip quickly. Someone may get offended and start something they regret.

I understand. In hindsight I suppose I should have just given him the tips right away.
 
Leech doesn't work PvP anymore. This is basically why almost every BvB just uses angelics now. I don't see why so many people love -req weps, especially for BvA. I love having full strength with a huge damage maul, and where some barbs with angelics need 3 whirlwinds to kill certain chars (def hdins), without angelics I manage them in 1-2 hits. Too many people hate the old style rings, i.e. the Shadow Coil style rings on NL. All to often I hear that its the worst dupe ever, just because it's cheap and people almost give them away. Even though it's outdated, 13str 13dex 135ar 6ll are nice mods for a ring. These were the ideal mods 1.09, and moving forward to 1.1x, replace the life leech with +9min and it's an uber ring, with room for dual resists. Just another example of why most NL players are spoiled by dupes and don't know much of anything about good legits or making good chars in general. After being told by Barl that Dire Carapace is the ultimate barb ornate, I've lost faith in NL, because I hear that my 883def 10str 8dex 43life 30cr orn is crap when I show it, yet I manage to beat barbs using dcara and duped bhammers with a 2h ancient axe. Just another reason why I'm sick of people who don't have a basic understanding of D2 beyond "more expensive dupes are better than anything". I'm currently trying to trade off/sell all my NL gear, and I've heard dozens of times that all my items suck. 30frw 30+cr/lr/fr blue greaves can't even fetch an SOJ. +2 227 yellow exec w/ nice mods is always insulted because theres a better dupe. Lastly, +2sorc 10fcr pris stack LR amu sucks, because theres a dupe with almost the same mods that costs less. Yes Non Ladder, my name is Haywood Jablome, and my items are godly, even if theres a dupe with a bit more damage.
 
I have a, not so mainstream, speederbaba.
Usually he runs around with 2 Naga's (Too low damage to actually be effective cause I simply don't have any better). And has Frenzy as a skill aswell. He's not really a pure dueler, though he can duel a bit since he has max throwing mastery and some sets of ed harpoons with him. I made him focus as much as possible on speed, with those harpoons, you can also stab and they won't lose duration, cause harpoons don't have duration. :)
And just watch the Frenzy do it's work. also fun to Frenzy and then switch to throwing, a stream of harpoons onto the target. Naturally he also has clegs in his inv, since some people might actually keep up with him.
He is definately fun to play, though a bit hard now in Hell. Specially if you join a normal game and people ask you to help them. "Ok, make sure you keep up though."

I was gonna make a frenzy//double throw pvp barb who used ed harpoons, twitch + deaths, r/w res boots etc.

He would only have about 500 avg physical dmg after crit strike, but i also planned to have chant on him most of the time.

I'll start it up soon.. ;/
