@ Solar - nice runes - that is a great haul for 1k runs. I did 1k a while back and came no where close to that haul. Well done.

On topic - I never really keep large charms - most are worthless, but when I IDed this one it stood out as different - charm guide tells me it's a keeper - seems pretty cool.

Done for the day, happy that I found that 30 Maras, definately will help me once I go for a 99 Hdin in the FAR future.


Might have to begin a ton of LK runs for those darn Enigma runes, instead of doing everything per game (Andy/AT/Meph and Trav) which is very time consuming :)

Sounding charms I don't need at all and I can trade those. (And I still have to trade PH my Zon charms! :badteeth:). Just need to find the time go play a bit online!

Nothing? Only larzuk socket will work (because superior, right?) and so unless you wnat to use that quest your best bet is jsut to cube socket an eth archon for way more def.

@pharphis - I should have been more specific. Assuming I have Larzuk socket it, do you think this poses an especially worthwhile opportunity for a Merc RW? It sounds like no.

Afraid Pharphis is right, only Larzuk can socket it, it'll get 4 holes, and he won't ebug it, the def will stay the same...

While superior eth weapons are very cool (if they have the right number of sox already, or if max sockets is what you're looking for), superior eth armor is pretty useless (so is eth armor with holes already in it, for the same reason)...though it can still be used for a merc runeword base. Just realize that if you find a non-superior eth archon plate and cube-socket it, the base def will get the eth bonus again, so it'll have 922 defense even if you used the worst possible base...it could go as high as 1179 base defense on an Archon Plate!!

I started to say that you could make a cheap merc runeword in it, but the only 4 hole armor runeword that can be remotely considered cheap is Stone, and you would probably want the higher def base for Stone...

Yea, it's a shame that superior items can't be cube socketed.

I have a superior eth SA sitting around in my stash, unfortunately almost any ebug armor will beat it's base def.

You can use it for stone (the runeword involving 4 runes and gives %ed), since the runes ain't that expensive and merc can use them well. You can end up with a good armor. I would do it if I had a spare um...

Edit: I was talking about the AP. I wouldn't do it on SA due to high str req.

However, once the RNG had had its little joke, it settled down and dropped several nice things over the course of the weekend, including an eth thresher that just popped from a rack I randomly hit while waiting for my MP partner to get done in town...

The best drop for me this weekend was definitely this godly charm from a possesed champion cow, and its the best of its kind I've ever seen!
