Shockwave for PvP?

Is shockwave effective for pvp? Most of the pvp guides I been looking at don't have much info about shockwave there. So I'm wondering if anyone here has tried it and has any info about it for pvping? Would it be like the barbs stun cry (like is it blockable)? or would it act like an assassins MB?

Lets say my Shockwave is lvl 20. On the skill tree it says stun lenght is 13 sec at that lvl. How long would it be if pvping? I remember there was some kind of reduced stun length for pvp, but i can't remember exact formula. Anyone know?
 
15 seconds is max length stun. I believe my summoner there had like... lvl 18-19 shockwave with 1 point giving ~13 second stun, if that gives you a rough estimate. Anywhere between 10-15 seconds is a good length though, if you can achieve it without having to add any more points that'd be sweet... the length isn't really as important as the FCR lock in duels. If you're FCR at 63/99% can outcompete their FHR, you can completely trap them like a spider web while your Bear saunters over and KO's them in 1-2 hits. Takes lots of practice but funnest build ever made hands down.

It is blockable, but triggering block between it and ravens does help nonetheless. Vit build casters pay the price... in that I mean they literally sit there and can't move... I've literally had casters sit there for about 10 seconds at a time before they could escape it's that nasty. Against zons, it also triggers dodge animation... which is funny since dodge ends up being the death of them. They can't get out of dodge animation, aka hit me, all the while the bear carefully walks over and KO's them in 1-2 = )

Reason I mentioned this build is... this build REALLY DOES rely on shockwave to win PvP, and the results were amazing. I wish I could have recorded matches back then to show how truly awesome it works, it's one of those see it to believe it which is why I can see why it'd be hard for ppl to take it seriously... when you're one of the few people to attempt something like that ;) It's much easier to demonstrate than explain lol

Even builds that don't rely on shockwave so heavily can put it to great use. I wouldn't go without it on a fireclaws druid or a mauler. Shockwave is wonderfully helpful in druid vs druid matchups. It can also come in handy in other duels as well, though in most cases it'll be used to hamper the approach and free movement of other melee characters. Also, even with a one point investment on most pvp chars, you'll also be able to just about saunter through hell (even with all those fire immunes - if they're constantly locked up Waheed can poke them to death at his leisure). It's nice to be able to pick up your own quests or pvm unlike some other lame pvp chars.
 
I dunno. I never thought it would be my thang, I've always been a huge FC fan.. just sorta "became" my thing more I played ^.~

::sigh:: I feel like it's too late, maybe it isn't... it's really tempting 'cause I'd love to rock it again. I already have my bear to lvl 25 and started hoarding a few Shape/lifers, shape ammy/life, PB :undecided: Starting over isn't as annoying as the annoyance it'd take me to retrade for Summon gear. I wish more ppl played West Ladder err...
 
It works just like mindblast. The only problem is the stun duration listed is wrong- its about 50% of that I believe. Regardless, with 1pt you get a solid 6-7 seconds. With a 1pt raven, they will constantly pop them and make them look like they are having a seizure, while you lumber up to them, charge maul/fc them, then die a horrible, locked up death. Sounds solid to me :)

So, btw. I'ma put some thought into leveling another Summoner. I dunno, if I make a vid down the road here... would that be something you'd all wanna see? I mean, both would be sweet... but that'd be like, a rare sight, like big foot or something lol (or porky complimenting me, heh jk bro ^.^)
