Selling Characters Online

I have my own bank account, is it safe to use it with paypal though, or should I try and get a new one. . .

I didn't think people would pay in huge ammouns of cash, so I figured it'd be easier to sell each character seperate..but I guess people do pay a lot. . .Lol.

I'll do that priority listing thing if I do it I guess.

Paypal is very secure, I wouldn't worry about that at all. I've never had a problem, and I've made several dozen transactions through them. Yeah, the priority listing is good to have, that way the lazy D2ers don't have to scroll down too far to purchase their wealth, thus increasing your chances for making a decent amount from your labor. Yeah, paypal is safe, but it takes awhile to get hooked up. Verification and whatnot. As for selling your characters, A_S_G, the money is definately NOT worth the time I'm sure you put into making each character. But if you're done playing, I suppose it's smartest to get what you can for your time, eh? :thumbsup:

Haha, yeah I know I wont get as much as if I was working for a job for all those hours, but it's better than nothing.

I have a level 92.5 Wind druid with 30+ life gcs, I hear those are worth a lot now. .I think I'll make a decked out ww barbarian with it, and just sell my main account (Druid was on his own account) That way I have one character if I want to pk. .I've always wanted to make a decked out ww barbarian, and I made one before, but my scs started poofing so I stopped. . .but I'll just level him without them this time. .Lol.

There's nothing wrong with selling your account in my opinion... then again, I run the largest store on that site. :cough: biased :cough:

My advice is to just be patient, and make sure you list it so it closes on a particular day of the week. There's one day of the week that I always dread and it's a weekday when I get home from work and have to mule 75+ items on average.

I've sold dozens of characters on there, and usually when they are "parted out" individually they tend to get more. When they are all one account be prepared to get far less than you expected. $50 is rich, and you better have some serious gear on the account to get that. Don't strip em down. You should post complete stats to get the most cash.

Side note: Oh yeah, and if selling is lame, then I would tell you that I've made several thousand off of a game that cost me about 0.1% of what I've made, which has paid for 2 family vacations (with air and hotel) and paid off a car note. Funny, pixels really are worth something nowadays, and many of you are my past customers. Merry Xmas everyone!
