Saturdaily - Woot! Yay weekend :)

RL: Almost 3:00 a.m. here, bedtime's coming soon, or I'm gonna turn into a pumpkin. Tomorrow I have a brunch and mountain hike planned, and after that the day is all my own. D2 and a little cleaning around the house, and I really need to tell a story or two to my best friend (we've been best friends since we were 5, despite the timezones), so I'm looking forward to our first chat since 2005.

On Sunday the Denver Donkey's (aka Denver Broncos) are hosting their football conference championship, so I've decided to head to the mountains and explore the back bowls of Vail while everyone's watching the game. I would have to say Vail is - so far - my all time favorite ski resort. It's beyond words to push your body and mind past its limits, fail, fall 3-6 feet through thin air, land in a big 'puff' of snow, then get up (unhurt) and realize that no one saw what you did because there's no one within 2 miles of you - so you dust yourself off and try it again, only faster.

D2: I managed this past week to squeek through most of my least favorite act (A3, Hell) with my fury Druid, and hopefully I'll be able to Pat him sometime Sunday night. I just have the council & Durance to go now, then it's on to A4 and A5. He got an Um from NM hellforge, so I surely can expect a Hel or Io in Hell - karma and all.

I've also got my next build planned out, and I'm anxious to get started. I just need one more socketing quest before I begin (he'll need all the help he can get). After playing a Fury Druid, Meteorb, IK barb, and LF 'zon for my last 4 chars, I'm really looking forward to trying a less generic build (no details yet, and if you haven't been looking elsewhere you'll have to wait for the pat thread. I can promise that it's not a cookie-cutter).

Have a good day all.

i just saw the skeleton key and now i'll see the godfather 1 maybe 2 and 3 but late this night.
i need a MF char in diablo cuz my frenzy barb is struck at baal (need some CB gear and he don't drop nothing)

My first MP experience today, and believe it or not HC. Had great fun.
D2 dip has completely disappeared. MP and HC do give the game a whole new dimension.

After a few months hiatus, I gave D2 a go yesterday. Had no interest in playing my first/only patriarch anymore, so I created a new character. Sorceress, who's going to be a meteorb once she grows up. Went through most of Act I.

It was fun, so I'm going to continue playing today. I wonder if I can get through normal without twinking.

As far as rl goes, I have flu, and it's ridiculously cold outside, so it's not like I have anything better to do than play computer games anyway. :)

It sure is, -30 celcius at the moment which is equivalent to -22 fahrenheit. Gotta love Finland

Noop, sorry, with those tempuratures I don't think I do

Well here in Mexico, we are at 24 celsius, I don't remember the formula to convert them to fahrenheit! But it's very warm here.

Saturday! yay! I'm going to see (finally!) my girlfriend today, so I'll spent almost all weekend with her, so do not expect many posts until monday! :wink3:

D2: nothing, I haven't had the time to play, and normal diablo has proven to me a formidable enemy to my fishymancer, my skellies can not stand more than 10 seconds to him, I have NO idea of how am I going to kill him

Trying to come back to diablo after being MIA for 5+ months. All I have is a ww druid and a pally with their stashes. I think I might host an mp game later to get me started.

<cracks knuckles>

Alright, let's see if my Thread Killing Power (TM) still works...

I know I haven't posted in quite some time. I dropped the game for a little while, then picked it right back up when I was with some friends who recently restarted...

Damn them.

So MadMardigan, the level 91 fanatic zealot was brought out of retirement, and has now made it all the way to the zombie garden. After several runs of learning what not to do, I've worked Pindle into a 15-20 minute run including Eldritch, then Pindle, then durance 2-3-Meph, then ancient tunnels.

Pindle and Eldritch are both being jerks so far, but I found my first Lightsabre from Bremm and my first Kira's Guardian from Mephy, so I guess I shouldn't complain much.

I still miss the colored text, and this smilie :brainiac: looks absolutely filthy, but I'm back on the forums, and hopefully will post more. God knows I lurk enough.

Thanks for reading all of that,
MM

edit: Looks like I'll have to re-upload my avatar... again :prop:

Yeah... Saturday was yesterday, but I wasn't able to post.

See... I went to LA for this wedding of a couple people my wife sings with. It was going to be a lot of fun. What makes it D2 related is that Bill Roper was the best man. A bunch of the people there were in on the design of DI and II... but no one really was in a mood to talk shop so I got no inside info... boo hiss.

Bill's looking better than he has in years and seems to be in great spirits if that can mean anything. High hopes to him and his new company.

Yeah. It's true. I'm currently playing an untwinked Pally right now with p8 settings and he just finished acts 1 & 2. Very different and keeps you alert and looking at things in a different perspective with surviving at the foremost importance!

*I'm talking about HC single play BTW*
