A friend of mine had an oral test for his graduation on french, the idea was that he should tell something about himself.

He managed to pass, even though he said:

"Je m'appelle Igo, j'habite en vélo".

lol, that is awesome! yeah, i remember oral tests with both Madames, fun fun! :D lol, the tapes that Madame from high school would play were just hilarious! we listened to everything, Celine Dion in French and actually comprehension stuff. the comprehension stuff was fun. OMG! you know what just popped into my head? a French song that taught you about the verb "aller" and it was SO ANNOYING! it had the tune of some 90s Vanilla Ice beat and when you are in dance class singing it with your best friend, people will look at you funny! XD She was an awesome French teacher, tho. i miss her. lol!

edit: im screwed for the rest of the day now... argh!

I got forced into immersion when I was a kid. I didn't know any better, and I was 5, so what could I do about it.
I essentially learned French and English at the same time, as before then I had only been speaking Cantonese.

J’ai fais mon primaire et mon secondaire en français puis je parle en français à la maison. Les cours de français étaient plates et j’ai encore de la misère en grammaire, mais je suis content de l’avoir apprit. Par contre, je préfère de parler en Québécois :whistling:

I was forced to go to a French elementary and high school. The grammar still irritates me but I find that French rolls of my tongue easier than English and since I live in Montreal, being able to speak English and French has a lot of advantages.
