Rebirth - Kitteh's Hardcore Journey

So begins a new journey for summer. I will only have my Mac so I will be making a vanilla bonemancer, no mods or extended stash etc, and also single pass full clears. I haven't decided on a name yet, but we shall see! I've put together some plans already;

My plan is to cast clay golem, prison if I want it, attract on either side of the screen and then decrepify. Bone spear away until I get a corpse and blow it the hell up. Bish, bosh, wiggidy wosh, dead stuff. I am considering whether or not to bother with a few skeletons.

I believe that I can shop a +3 2os bone spear wand from Drognan in normal if I'm level 20 (?), so I will do that and make a white eventually. I will also make a rhyme, hopefully in a decent bone spear head.

Otzi has just defeated Duriel in Hell. His equipment hasn't changed much for a while, but I am tempted to do a bit of gambling at some point. I am hoping to finish Otzi fairly soon and will either move straight onto my next character, play through the necromancer in D3 (still not done so!) or do a farming set of some form.

I didn't know anything, they just appeared and me and the merc were dead. We were like 'The **** just happened?'

So, alongside Kaylin (my untwinked 99er), I wanted another Guardian attempt. I'm thinking currently going through my stashes looking for something interesting, although I seem to have an empty uniques stash... I'm really not sure how that happened but I've currently trying to get my backups opened to check, but I'm incapable of working out how to use them it seems.

Otzi's final finds were the rare jewel here which is either awesome or crap, not sure which, and an ias/ed/ar/lightning damage CS, which I could build a tesladin around I guess.

Just delete the '.org' part of the filename, if it ends in '.d2x' gomule and atma should be able to open it.

I figured this out eventually, I actually did it originally and it didn't open, so I presumed that it was the wrong thing to do


Also, I have a 15% CL Ormus, and the whole point of this is to use builds and items that I usually don't, so I'm thinking CL/Hydra.

Hydra is an awesome skill. It requires quite some points in synergies and/or mastery, which is the same for CL, so I don't think they pair too well.

Because of this, my favourite Hydra builds are with FO and Nova. Especially the latter, although it requires far better gear and is far more dangerous in HC. Well, always more dangerous, but it matters more in HC .

I used hydra/FO previously and loved it. I was trying to think of something non synergy based to go with CL, but there isn't much other than orb really, since nova is lightning. I need to go through the skills and check that I'm correct though haha Orb would work, I'm just loathed to use it AGAIN

The December 2085 tournament provided some interesting new toys to play with, plus Flynn reached level 91. I will probably convert him to a WSK runner.

My personal highlights were Schaefer's and Lycander's, the latter one of the first items I built around when I got D2 and the former being, well, Schaefer's That will be put towards a planned Schaeferdin.

A separate update...

Cymru, my hunter druid, has reached Hell. He has swapped out his bow for Rhyme/Lacerator for the amplify damage. You can see one of said axes heading towards an unfortunate enemy to the North.

Cymru has now reached Hell act V, where he hopes to avoid the fate that befell Otzi... My merc has also obtained an Obedience CA, and is kicking butt. Act III and IV done today, hopefully I will do act V tomorrow. I had a NDE at some point in Hell act II - I can't even remember what it was, I just remember changing my underwear.

A couple of nice finds. Jah from a rock pile (I think), which will go towards Famine probably, or less likely, Faith. The Um was nice too, I hate not having one around.

Guardian #2 is now complete, step forward Cymru.

I'm not 100% sure what I will play next. I kinda want to play a Lycander's strafer as it was one of my first builds, but I was hoping to have War Traveller's before then. I may go ahead anyway. I'm also considering a concentrate barbarian, or a Sigonator, another of my nostalgic (and utterly crap) builds.

Anyway, I'm really enjoying this!

Feel free to provide your opinion on what to do with the Jah that I found. My primary options just now are to wait for a an Ohm and make Faith or Famine.

Lyrella, CB/FO sorceress, is now nearing the end of NM act III. I genuinely don't think that I've ever steamrolled the game so quickly before I've missed playing sorcs for that
