Real Down for 1 1/2 hrs and counting... (heavy sigh)

This is riduculous. I logged on. Joined a game. Stayed in that game for almost 2 hours. When leaving the game it set me back to log in screen. Got RD!!!
I swear there is no reason behind these other than bnet is overloaded and they had to come up with some way to control volume on their servers. Hence the Realm Down.

I've had alot of RD's like that. I generally play alone myself and often get kicked out of two hour games and then get the RD. Been doing that ever since i first started playing this game.

Once you get R/D, it's best not to constantly keep trying to log back on. Just go busy yourself with something else and try again later.

Grrrrrrraaaarrrrrrr!!!!!!! Ok, now i'm fed up with it. Just had it happen to me again. I went back and finsihed off all the quest's i skipped over while questing act 1-5. I worked my way up to and beat the ancient's, got all the way to the wsk wp and went back to act 1 to drop off all the low runes i collected along the way. I had been in the game for a good long while, 1 1/2 hours maybe. Sure enough, i leave and try to bring my rune holding char in and now i can't make or join games. I'm sick of this BS and i'm tired of being treated like i did something wrong.

I didn't lag or lag out of the game which is surprising since that's usually the norm nowadays. Yeah big deal, i lost some crappy runes and some chip's but it could've just as easily been one or more of the skiller's i've busted my hump collecting and rolling. Does blizz hate me? That's an absurd question right? They don't even know me but i'll tell you what. Every time i get a realm down or a restriction that's like calling me a liar,hacker and/or a cheater IMO. I don't appreciate that one bit.

I don't care how old this game is, either figure out a way to deal with the cheater's that doesn't screw me or pull the plug. In fact, pulling the plug might be a good idea seeing as how all their "fixes" seem to be sending this game further down the toilet. How about permanent IP ban's, sure they can get another one but it won't be as quick as running to the store on the corner and grabbing another coppy of D2 that's for damn sure. While they're at it, why don't they just go ahead and perm ban me and the other 15 or 20 people that got knocked off the server because some dupin lil ahole decided he didn't have enough duped jah's to spread around.

Maybe in a couple months when there's noone left they'll finally figure out that their "solution" to the problem is a complete failure. They haven't stopped anything, there's ton's of dupes on the ladder and to think otherwise is totally naive. Hey, it's an OLD game though so who cares. Any effort is better than none at all right? Right.

Thats some rant you got yourself there, lol. But yes I agree they should do something about this, by far this season has been the worst for me in all the years of playing for lag and r/d's and now the all time favorite temp-bans.
But if they just stopped updating this game and releasing fixes and just "pulled the plug" think about it this way... would me and you still be playing? would evrae? IMO this forums standards would decline extremely fast and become a hybrid or battle.net/d2sector forums.... and the thought of that is scary, this community we have going right now is made for and from all the legit players like us who just love playing the game and we put up with Battle.net's crap because of that. Im not sure if im making any sense, too lazy to read this over and edit it but I think I made some kind of point, but as for the problem at hand, I think Blizzard should leak some D3 rumors to at least hold us till then, that way, at least to ME, the lag and temp-bans wouldn't be so unbearable. To me after hearing a rumor, a TRUE rumor at that directly from Blizzard, about Diablo 3 underway would totally leave me at ease, and everytime I lag out, fail to join a game, receive a realm down, I would think to myself, "it is for the greater good". lol im just gonna stop, im tired and unsure if i've started babbling yet.
