I was just wondering if anyone else is having lag trouble on east? It has been getting worse over the last week for me up until last night when I could barely connect to bnet at all. When I did connect, and IF I was able to enter a game, the lag was about as bad as it gets. Many times I got discoed from the game and would get the "realm down" server msg and would have to wait several minuted in order to try again.
Now I can't connect at all and it gives me the "you need to check your modem, you loser." message.

ANyone else having problems?

edit: I can connect to west or asia, no problems. ... :confused:

edit#2: I just checked bnet website and they are aware of server problems and east IS down for maintenance.
Guess I should have checked there first. :rolleyes: Sorry about that.

i rarely got any errors play gw, my d2 discs don't even install no more so lol~

I find GW'S boring already. Plus, it has more bugs than D2 ever had. If you have dail up forget it.
D2 was becoming boring. Yet, it's more challenging than GW'S is for me.


Exile it's never to late to start a game. There's new players all the time. The game was just released in April. ;)

Such irony. I got back into d2 (for the billionth time) just as something to play for 3 months whilst I waited for GW to come out. It finally arrives, I get it, I love it, I play it, I get bored rather quickly, I somewhat stop playing it. I then find out 1.11 comes out and theres a ladder reset, so I go back to d2 :lol:. This game will never die.

On the note of GW; the game's cool and all, but I do feel kinda restricted when playing it. It DOES hold your hand a lot, and the fast paced action of d2 (even though laggy, black-wall ridden, desynch) is something I've just grown too accustomed too. Not to mention that I think the hit detection in GW is worse than d2 lag even was/is/will be :rolleyes:.
 
best merc for hammerdin

i was just wondering if anyone could answer these questions for me...i've been trying to figure it out but noone answers questions on d2..so yea

1. what is the best type of merc for a hammerdin used for rushing/mfing?
2. what equip would merc need to gain the most usefulness out of them?

I was somewhat considering getting GW too, but all the stores around here are sold out...
'was talking to the girl at EB, and she had mentioned that the GW servers were overcrowded or something, and that the production lines had been halted for the moment. Dunno if there's truth in that, but it seems hard to locate a copy -_- Could've been WoW propaganda, since she tried to convert me while I browsed.

Bhen: Many ppl prefer holyfreeze A2 mercs with Insight polearms. Insight with A2 Prayer mercs is also common, since there's some synergy thing I don't quite understand going on, which gives a fairly nice life rep, in addition to the mana. Merc equip doesnt have to be expensive for pvm, if using insight, he'll need some form of life leech (gaze, crown of thieves etc), and resists / DR dont hurt either. Shaftstop / Smoke armor on a low budget. Fortitude if you have one.

Must have been WoW propaganda my old friend. Most towns you visit now have only 1 district, where there used to be dozens. I like the game, it's beautiful and doesn't come with a monthly price tag, but no way does it last as long as D2 has.

Districts are the main walk-around town areas then? I was reading the online manual last night, to get a feel for the game and I think it'd definitely be worth checking out now. The graphics do seem beautiful, but I hope the controls can be config'd differently.

Guess its just a matter of finding one locally.

to be honest my guild will play the flavor of the month into the ground( Iway build in hoh currently ), we been trying to come up with our own gvg build.

I think some of quests are fun, but there are some game killer ones.

Challenges do Thunder Keep + Bonus succesfull with a pug group. i and some of those new titan quests are kinda difficult.

i'm just waiting till my d2 disc decide to co-operate with me and install on my new pc, but until then i got some watching my accounts.
 
I had a nice halloween. nobody bothered me this year.


I'm an aussie and thus live in australia where halloween isnt celebrated. however every year there are always a few people who try anyway. they get turned out faster than salespeople.

Hey Pen, sorry it took me so long to check back here.
I haven't really dueled at all. I've just been farting around with a Ranger build and really in the last month or so I have barely been on at all because of work.

How is everything going with you? We sure tore it up way back when eh? :xmas9:

I hope all is well, and to everyone, have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.
