1.11 is indeed a patch, but with the way there seems to be a hint of a new "act", it could be a cross between a patch and another expansion, in the way LoD introduced act 5.

Still only speculation though.

Like anything. You need to play 24/7 to get good. Back then I had plenty of free time and I dueled 24/7 vs anybody. Luckily for me the people I dueled with alot were really insanely good which helps you get better.

Now it's more a couple hours on a weekend for some casual gaming. I might like to build something for mf. Which brings me to...how is mf'ing nowadays? Where are the sweetspots now? WHat's the best char for mf?

Is it better to go on the ladder? How does that work?
 
MF isn't really an area of the game I dabble in much but I would say if you're out again from scratch, a sorc of some kind is easily the best choice for mobility early on when you don't have access to Enigma. For a semi to fully loaded character though you would be hard pressed to justify a better mf'er than a hammerdin though.

Places like the Pit in the Tamoe Highlands, pindle, meph and the like still, are decent spots to frequent.
 
This is one of the things I like most about new patches, you get to see lots of old faces again for a while in the forums ;)

Well I decided to remain with my beloved Pally for mf. Started in on a Hammerdin. I've never been really good with Mages and thought it would be fun to try. Will use him for mfing I think. I read your guide Rag, very well done.

Starting from scratch is kind of fun...(until the first time I get pk'd then I'll get pissed off and start a pvp char...lol)
 
I suggest going on Ladder if your starting off fresh because of the ladder only runewords and uniques.

Mfing would be like pits,meph,pindle,shenk,diablo

Also if you need any help on ladder I would be glad to help you out but it seems ladder is coming to any end but if you need help on Non ladder I can help you there as well. :D

There's no new Act. I strogly suspect Lilith is extremely similar to DClone, appearing only under special circumstances and with a 100% drop chance of a unique charm. I forget where but I read that someone looked into the new .mpq file and saw that she drops a unique Grand Charm.
 
Everytime I see the name Lilith, I think of Kramer's wife/exwife.....

And I saw the pic of that charm.

Seems to be fixed at +3.

Not sure how this whole key thing is going to turn out, terms of mfing. Key value will prolly drop within the week, or maybe not - since all the stragglers will be trying to catch up.

Guess the question is, will these charms be more profitable than annis...
Certainly more effort collecting keys and killing the 3, but havent seen any decent bids yet on the LC.
 
I saw an offer of 4HRs on a Paladin version. I'm expecting the price of Keys, Body Parts and Torches to fall within two weeks though.

I was worrying that pally ones would be valued higher than other classes since 3/4 of my characters are pallys and they will all need one of these, although I guess I can delete my fireball pally so thats one less to worry about. Just traded a key for a ber can't believe how lazy some people are.

SO, who do you have to kill and in what difficulty level?

Then what do you do?

Thanks. That explained everything except the difficulty.
But I guess it sounds like it is only possible to get a key in a hell ame?

I should have known better than to start running for those keys as soon as the patch was released, only to find out later that it was a bnet only thing, when I already had all three of course :mad:

Realm, the keys only drop in Hell games, and it seems you'd better get to remaking your vindi with some life tap and crushing blow if you want to get that shiny new charm, keep us updated ;)
