it's crap. smack the guy saying "some HRs" for me.
to further elaborate compare it to Arreat's Face:
you gain:
2 bo, % ar/level, 1 life <-- ha!
you lose:
40 stats, 30 fhr, life leech, 2 combat skills (which if you'll note will help make up some of the ar/level along with arreat's built in 20% AR) and 30 res. not to mention the huge difference in defense which some people care about. PLUS! it's in one of the ugliest base hats ever.
i'm a huge AR freak but that's waaaaay too much to lose to gain a small chance to hit.

You convinced me. :crazyeyes: It's a shame most rare pelts and barb helms are so much worse than those uber-ultra-cheap jalal's and arreat's. Thanks for your detailed answer.

Yeah the AR per level on a helm is called Visionary.

Believe it or not guys, I just sold it for currency (you-know-what and where) worth 5 HRs. But he did just want it if it had white equipped color, which it had, and he came with an all-white barb. I was lucky I guess.

I have only ever had 1 ww helm drop... And it looked like this
Very rare and valuable barb hats do spawn sometimes as this one proves. I traded for it some time ago and sold it later as a collector item. Imagine it would have spawned with 2 sockets and ethereal...

Actually i wanted to post my vlld items but i had to dig up that amazing barb hat first
So here's the lvl 9 stuff, i have collected many good vlld items that took me a long time to find/roll/imbue/trade for. Some items are given to me by the nice etf players on these boards
About 99% of the jewels here are still unsocketed, but i'll upgrade my non ladder chars after the next reset i think. I have mainly played vlld on ladder, saving the better jewels. Here's my min dmg jewel collection first

Then some nice rare rings, amulets and some other vlld items. The rings that have 1 dmg reduced are effective against smiters because they do low dmg @lvl 9. I just need to find some better dmg red/5 life rep ones with high AR ^^
Half freeze on an item is very usefull when you don't use death's sash, to cut that chill time in half.

Btw those blade talons i sold a few days ago because i won't make another tigerstrike sin. I may make one if i am lucky enough to imbue a claw like that with 2 sockets :crazyeyes:
