Yeah it’s almost like there’s a hidden character limit. The problem seems to go away after I delete a character or two. But I’m now running short on characters I’m willing to discard.

I am toying with the idea of snagging an Xbox Series S if there are any Black Friday / Christmas / Boxing Day deals later in the year. I’d like to start fresh, HC only, on a new copy of the game. Then I can keep my SC “Hall of Fame” on my Switch to keep playing around with until the system eventually craps out on me. It’s going to be a sad day if/when I lose all those SP characters on my Switch.
 
Will add to the table later, but moving right along in starting NM at level 47.

Diablo Dropped this beauty though, but other than that, most equipment average at best:

GeekBarb has made his way through the maggot lair and finally got the cube. So far I've been playing single pass /p8 but not sure if I'll keep it up. I got lucky and found a 3os crystal sword early in act 2, and Tal runes from countess and radament. Damage is slowing considerably now, and I'm relying on my merc to do a lot of the killing. With bash as my main skill, I'm starting to wonder if another strategy would've been better. I've got the one reroll for now, and am planning to switch to a warcry build at level 30.

I've gotten 3 s/u drops, non that I can use. Currently at 126% mf not counting merc. Following @jiansonz single pass mf guide for the first time and it's been a lot of fun!

Well, this write-up took some time, because I was very busy. Lots of stuff happening in RL (see the daily thread) and actually the last time I played D2 was 2 weeks ago…
…when Aegea defeated Baal and made it to Hell difficulty.

I checked my screenshots again, but there really wasn’t too much interesting stuff:
- Found a String of Ears, can’t use it
- Found a Dwarf Star – was great against Diablo
- Had a Lum Rune from Hellforge…
- Fought Diablo with maxed Impale and a Decoy…only found out afterwards, that Decoy is bugged as Hell and sometime dies to a rabbit bite and sometimes is invincible (due to stat overflow after recasting or something like that)
- Diablo dropped a Crescent Moon amulet
- Blackhorn’s Face would be great (with Impale!), but is not usable because of the tournament rules
- Baal is a stingy bastard
- LF still is great, even unsynergized
- Might merc and Valk take care of Lightning immunes
- Boss fights are tedious, because I have to rely on damage from my minions
Now I have to try to optimize my build for Hell and weigh survival against MF. Will see what I will do about it.
I will also have to see, if the influx of more LI monsters will make me respect my character – after all, I have Immolation Arrow at my disposal…

Well I'm sitting at Chaos Sanctuary ready to do a final push.

I was able to get a +2 fade and a +1assassin/+2 fade claws for switch, while using a Pattern with +3 weapon Block on mainhand with a +2 assassin skills in other hand.

Rest of the gear is pretty much lower end, but it fills the needs. Mercenary has a problem staying alive and I wonder if I should switch to one that last a bit.

Shortly after the last post, I started and finished to Guardian. Ancients almost took me out and I had less than 50 life as I didn't see any red in my bulb. Not sure how I lived, but thankfully I did.

Had a Lem from NM Hellforge that I used and made a Treachery out of the 3 perfect topaz full plate I was wearing and gave it to my Barbarian mercenary, leaving me to swap to his 12 damage reduction armor. My armors this run were appauling I'd say.

I've progressed to Act 3 Normal with Athena the sorceress. Nothing too special so far. I shopped a +1 Static Field staff and a +3 Teleport staff from Drognan (had the nice gate spawn for easy shopping). so that is making life pretty easy. I'll do a proper update at end of Normal

No Battle Orders hurts a bit, but max Whirlwind, Weapon Mastery, and a healthy amount of points into Iron Skin / Natural Resistance and Shout should make for a pretty strong character! I'm looking forward to seeing Vang's progress.

Normal done, nothing too much to talk about Frozen Orb is as strong as ever combined with a teleport and a static field staff nothing was too difficult.

Only really one interesting drop (nagel ring). Onwards to Nightmare.

Well that is a pretty solid roll, just need to find a helm with some BO/warcry on it to have the total package I guess.

Minor update, I went to Act 3 and decided to switch to August Roll. I hit level 29 and have now equipped two Great Swords that I am swinging away at my enemies. Let us see how Act 4 and 5 both go now!

Am I supposed to use the rolls that you rolled for me, or the current month rolls. Or is it my choice. And if it's my choice, do I just pick between the two sets or pick each category individually? Also, do these rolls change next month?

Still a little unsure of the rules and I don't want to screw it up. I'll just play my Alphabet Soup character for now until I can figure it out. When I do figure it out, I will use your rolls though Vang.

You get to use all the items for your rolls and September's equipment list.

You can also use any non-rolled item this is white/grey and socket them as you see fit as long as they don't create a runeword.

When I do October's roll, you can choose to keep and stay with September's or switch. (You have until starting the next act to change over (if not single pass) or until the end of the next act if single pass.

If youlike November's roll you can do that as well. It just gives you a bit of freedom on the month's rolls, you can keep or change each month. Most players probably finish a character within 2-3 months.

I saw your post in the other tourny thread. Bummer. I recently got deeds with my Amazon in this tournament too. Haven’t been able to update the table yet 😞 It was a careless and needless death 😭

Just for clarification, I am allowed to use ANY Fire skill plus all the others rolled ?

And I am allowed to use BOTH the monthly rolls (be it September or October) AND the ones you rolled for me ?

Yes that’s correct, you can use all Fire skills, plus Ice Blast, Blizzard, Lightning, and Energy Shield. This time around, skills granted by items are also allowed to be used.

And yes to the second question as well. You can use the base items I rolled AND the September rolls (or October’s rolls if/when Vang does them).
