I wouldn't use any pair of gloves other than LoH for the simple fact you want to deal with a demon that has a lot of life. That damage enhancement is just great.
I also recommend having a gavel on switch for amplify damage. I killed Uber D pretty quick with a necro simply summoning a fire golem and casting amp while I WWed. A person playing in a single player game should do even better, as he will have less life.
