Un-Id Items used to be superior when duping was so widespread, but even then (REAL) hackers could dupe UNIDs. Today with items having up to 6 varible stats its LESS valuable Unid, at least is it logically. Also since there is a lot less duping going on an Unid Item should be Less valuable since you are asking the buyer to take the chance that the item has a good ED% or in the case of the "Legendary Mallet" wether or not is is indeed a Schaffers.
Also these two Items are impossible to deduce unless you ID them:
"Horizon's Tornado-Scourge", "Stormlash-Scourge" I traded for an Unid Unique Scourge thinking it was a Stormlash and to my dismay it was NOT. I thought that i might be able to figure out by the damage levels but that is not the case either, since their respective damage minimum and maximums arent that different.
Horizon's Tornado-Scourge
One-Hand Damage: (9-11) To (264-304) (136.5-157.5 Avg)
Required Level: 64
Required Strength: 100
Required Dexterity: 62
Durability: 65
Base Weapon Speed: [-10]
+230-280% Enhanced Damage (varies)
+50% Damage To Undead
+50% Increased Attack Speed
Slows Target By 20%
20% Chance To Cast Level 15 Tornado On Striking
Requirements -20%
Stormlash-Scourge
One-Hand Damage: (10-12) To (272-320) (141-166 Avg)
Required Level: 82
Required Strength: 125
Required Dexterity: 77
Durability: 65
Base Weapon Speed: [-10]
+240-300% Enhanced Damage (varies)
+50% Damage To Undead
Adds 1-473 Lightning Damage
+30% Increased Attack Speed
+33% Chance of Crushing Blow
20% Chance To Cast Level 18 Tornado On Striking
15% Chance To Cast Level 10 Static Field On Striking
+3-9 Lightning Absorb (varies)
So anything I think is valuable I ID, often the ED% sucks but sometimes its awesome (a Perfect COA i found in the Pits comes to mind) and command double or more prices.
