Question about ethereal and requirements

Two short questions. I appreciate the help.

1. Can Indestructable items (such as the Unique Doombringer) spawn ethereal? I don't think they can, but I'd like confirmation.

2. How much does ethereal reduce the requirements by?

1. No, indestructable items can NOT spawn ethereal.

2. After looking in my stashes, it looks like it reduces the strength and dexterity by 10
(47->37, 30->20, 82->72 etc.). So it don't matter so much for the high str/dex requirements items.

What if you upgrade an ethereal Crystal Sword to Phase Blade? Does the PB get extra damage/eth status, or it become non-ethereal?
I'd imagine it'd get the ethereal properties. Is this true?

EDIT: I'm asking because I wanted to put a Doombringer (for the 20% extra life mod) on my Fury Wolf (with no str/dex.) The 163 str reqs are a bit much for me though. His current str is 156 fully decked out.

Also, is this the only exception?

I think you are correct, I have heard of people looking for nice (300+% ED, 40 IAS etc.) ethereal rare Crystal Swords or Dimensional Blades. And if I ever find one I am going to try upgrading it.

Edit:
Ethereal Edge, Shadow Killer, Wraith Flight, Ghostflame are always ethereal and indestructable or have replenish quantity.

It is exception but it's not the only one. There are few uniques that are always eth and indestructible.
