Questing Question

I was just wondering what ya'll did in single player (when you can't get rushed). Do ya'll do every quest in order, or only the important ones?

Typically, I complete all quests in Normal and NM, and all but the Nihlathak quest in Hell (assuming I live that long... I play HC only).

If I'm trying to level up a character quickly, I might skip nonessential quests along the way (the Countess, etc.). But I prefer to get the rewards as I go.

I do most of the quests, generally in order. The exceptions are: I rarely do NM or Hell Blood Raven, and I don't go near Hell Nihlathak. I stay out of most of the caves and such, too. My play style is slow enough as it is, without adding areas that really don't do much for me.

Only the main quests really, generally the same ones in each difficulty. So all stat/skill point quests, getting Cain, killing Shenk and the compulsory quests, most of the others get skipped

Most of my play time over the past three years has been centered on competition play. Most of those three years have been competitions I have run and the rules have always asked that all quests must be completed before moving onto the next act (not necessarily in sequential order, however).

I was just wondering what ya'll did in battle.net. Where is the fun in being rushed?

Wait, you are telling me its possible to skip quests in this game?!?

Sure, next you'll be telling me I don't have to clear every nook and cranny of all the caves too.

How gullible do you think I am? :badteeth:

All the quests in the order they get in the Quests windows (yes, hell nihlahtak too).

Why? Well, I can't leave a monster "alive" So I don't park monsters, don't skip areas and face everything that comes my way. Sometimes I'm careless and since I don't skip any areas this has caused some deaths.

Edit: Adny is right, what's the fun of being rushed? The fun for me is playing my char little by little and finding better items for him(her) and being able to acces better skills to face the new monsters I met

I'm with LacertaCK and Arreat, I do full clears of every nook and cranny and every quest in order. Where's the fun in skipping quests and not killing everything?

i dont realy skip any quests, sometimes i do them a bit out of order, but i dont normaly skip any,
why do ppl skip hell nithlahtak?? i know hes a pain but he aint that bad is he??

Hell Nihlatak can be a pain in the ........ Deaddave, because of his corpse explosion, but the main problem is not him, but the bugged claw vipers in his temple (only amulets of life everlasting + big resist on poison can help there, or helmets, armor or shields with sol runes)

Actully, I've found (at least in 1.10) that the key thing with the vipers is to not stand on their corpses. You won't get hit with the multi hit poison nastyness unless you're standing on a dead one. I found that out after I got sick of rerolling to not get them for my barb in the wirt's leg tourney. Now, they're less of a pain then lister and his buddies.

That and hell nili ties for the best rune drop in the game. if I want to keep the portal to pindle open (which I ussually don't care about) then I just avoid that waypoint.
