Does it work in both Single Player and Bnet? And can it be done if you fail to perform it correctly the first time, leading to quest's completion?

It's my understanding that Andy can now only be quest bugged in single player. I also understand that after the quest is completed and Warriv brings you to act 2, the "bugged" or "not bugged" status, whatever it is, remains permanent.
