yeah, but you could always shael it (or better yet, double shael it)

Vega, please, don't do it. I have 8 imbues ATM, with 75+ lvl chars (I think it's enough to get most cool mods) I'm willing to burn for you, just for the reason that I don't wan't to see an ohm rune wasted. Just give me some bows and maybe charsi will give you something good.

That's true Finnish is a bit different but only a little, I only know one finnish word and that is not a word I like to use:smile:

If you're making a beta CtA, you'll need a pre-1.10 GMB as well. When making beta runewords, also make sure to use the last version of the beta patch since the recipes in the earlier ones may not be compatible in 1.11/1.10 final (no Ohm for CtA and Beast was only BerTirUm).

The %ED that SeDna posted doesn't account for the additional 50% you get from having an Ohm in the weapon, so it's actually 250%-290% ED (just like a normal CtA). If you roll perfect ED on a plain GMB it's 54-280 damage.

As for whether it's worth it or not, your best realistic choices right now are either a godly rare, upped Goldstrike, or CtA. PvP suitable rares are probably less common than Ohm runes so IMO you're down to choosing between Goldstrike and CtA.

A perfect ED upped Goldstrike does 35-238 dmg and has the same base weapon speed as the GMB except with 50% IAS and room for a socket. With either a Shael or IAS jewel in the Goldstrike you'll be able to shoot 1 frame faster than with a CtA GMB so you're not losing out on any damage. What you do lose is a small boost to +skills (+5 bow, +2 passives) and more importantly a substantial amount of life (barring an absolutely horrid roll, a beta CtA should almost double your life) because a good bowazon should never keep anything other than jav/stormshield on switch.

What I would do is start dueling with an upped Goldstrike and see how you fare with that. If that works, then stick with it and make your beta CtA in something usable by all characters.
 
dont forget the lvl 10-13 war cry. i dont know if there is a penalty in pvp since i dont play pvp. what i do know is war cry is great in pvm. it might be a little harder to hit another player(compared to baal) but if you got tele charges and some skill (and lots of pratice) i bet you could make it very effective. just look at the stats:
