Please help this Javazon rule the earth

Thanks jantia. I agree that /p8 will be difficult for almost, if not all, amazon builds. However, it is my habit to build chars that can, if need be, handle /p8 in all Acts. I certainly demand that they do right up until mat/pat status.

Just to pick on a little thing you said, which was FA make Souls go frozen. I guess that was a typo? That's what makes them so dangerous and challenging... LI, PsnI, 90% physical resistance, 50% magic resistance and 33% cold resistance, and cannot be frozen, chilled, or 'holy freezed', and bugged attacks. Which is what bothers me with using Melody and FA on switch. I'll have a lightning resistance of about 15. Ugh.

Anyway, after literally days of research over LF/PJ, LF/FA, pure lightning or my latest LF/CS/LS/Fendazon (I assume you've seen my other thread on this), I'll certainly post updates. But in the other thread, since I'm really liking the idea of a javelin/shield as primary and a big pokey stick on switch. What a cool-looking zon that would be; a combo javazon/spearazon!

Stole a couple hours

Finished acts 3 and 4. No major hickups. I would have to say this is the strongest 2 element attack build i have tried. Did some player 8 pit runs that went quick. Didn't have to pause for any combination. Switched my bow to the wizendraw -cold resist bow. Did some quick math and 33% more damage made sense vs the +4 skills from lycanders. I'm synergizing the cold last (about 8 to go) and only do about 1000 cold damage, but as long as the LI are packed it was a quick kill on P8.

I switched in tals armor over the skullders as a quick fix till i finalize equip/charms. Now have maxed lightning resist wearing my bow.

It came in handy for a plains of despair full of those lightnign shooters. Had to do a whole clear to find Izzy and practiced some geometry skills. I'd put out a decoy and move up and stand a ways off to the side of it and watch for the wall of lightning coming then make a nice triangle by returning my volley of FA offscreen till the lightning stopped or they moved...

Looks like you are going the fend route. Let us know how quick it is on packs. I can't imagine another non lightning amazon skill matching FA on taking down packs. Just having done some of the annoying areas i found it nice to have the ranged counter to act 2 beatles and noticed they don't send lighting out when frozen. The act 3 flayers will probably slow you down quite a bit at least compared to the LF speed

Just a quick update, and a couple of questions after.

To get a better idea of what works best for me, I've rushed 3 javazons to Hell WSK. A LF/CS/PJ zon, a LF/CS/LS/Fend zon, and a LF/CS/FA zon. All of them use a Valkyrie. I'm now in place to conduct some experiments on the unfortunate denizens of Hell WSK. Crazy I know, but I figured the only way I'm going to build a javazon that suits me is to actually play the damn builds, and stop all this number crunching. I'll post results soon-ish. At least I got some good Hellforge drops. An Ist, a Gul, and a Hel. :tongue:

Now for the questions:
1. I have 69% Pierce, and with Razortail, 102%. I'm wondering if Thundergod's Vigor would be a better belt to use permanently. What is your experience with ~70% Pierce compared to 100% Pierce? Notice any difference?

2. If I max LF/LS/CS, and plan to max a fourth lightning synergy, which is better, Power Strike or Lightning Bolt? I know that I won't be using either of those very much, but I might from time to time, just for fun. In which case, which one is a more effective skill to use?

In the WSK you won't notice much of a difference unless you spawn flayers often. Probably an extra throw or two, but you should be able to throw javs quite a bit.

In cows or similiar density you will notice pierce, becuase you have a chance to get 5+ pierces with good herding.

Of the remaining synergies i believe you will want the one that is not based on weapon damage. I want to say power strike.

I think you may end up liking the FA build for WSK and the Fend one for cows. I don't have PJ zon so no idea how that will play, but poison is usually too slow for me...
