Yeah, not playing Diablo is awesome. I've pulled straight C's and B's through high school, but my first report card is 2 A's, 2 A-'s, and 2 B's (in Art and some stupid discussion class).

Well, I can assure you it's not just an stereotype. Also, you said you did not PK at that time. Well, note that I've been playing since the game was released, at first in West and then in East. Basicaly, the PKs I could remmeber from West were IOWNEVERYONE and some nBs clan members*. There were quite few, in fact, in hardcore. All used map hack. Later some guy with an account like viperaexp or the like appeared, a bit before I left to East. The idiot not only used all possiblem hacks available at that time but had all duped stuff!TheCerberus said:

The SZ clan is a PK cheater clan, so they always cheated by nature. You could even find a maphack version available for download in their website some time ago, edited by a girl that's in their clan. Domihack is the most perfect definition of a cheater one can find. All dupes, all hacks. Grits also used hacks, at least mh, that I know. I played with him in some cow run games. Would they come, I'd leave the game and make a private one or bring a barb so as to leech or try to trap the new guys they would bring down to leech.
Also, I can not forget mentioning that all sword/shield SZ members I dueled used the duped sword ixo. Also, from time to time a new PK ould come, wich some stuff bought at e-bay, and would kill dozens and dozens of players, most times with that duped black lance with 340 dmg -40% requirements they had at that time. I don't remember its name anymore, tough. I had a quite low chance of victory pretty much due to hacks and dupes: I'd win only 50% opr a bit more of the duels, and whenever I lost to a barb, i already knew he was using either ixo or the duped lace, but decided to take my chances. In fact I've only lost against ixo barbs, as shield makes a lot of difference in duels.
This is my experience with player killers, and it's quite relevant I must say. That's true, I don't have much experience with LoD player killers, but how can an untwinked guy who does not have map hack take chances against people who may be using godly stuff with lots and lots of life charms? I just can't know when to accept a duel. And after all I neve really liked dueling, only did it when it was necessary. Anyway, most of what I'd hear from LoD at that time was stupid zons using ith bows and tppking peeps like there was no tomorrow.
*the only realy nice member of that clan was a girl, Jenny, who altoguh wasn't all legit wouldn't backstab anyone in game. Quite the oposite, she was 100% trustful.

Mestre, we have the largest gathering of legit pk's that you could ever ask for right here in this forum.
You have a question about range on a ribbit baba for PK? Just ask Barry. You need to know about ias breakpoints on a DT sin for PK? just put out a general holler. There is a wealth of knowlege on here and a good deal of it comes from our friendly neighborhood pk'ers.
There are way too many pk's that cheat (even if it is just MH) but there are at least a dozen on this forum alone that are pure legit.
That said ... WHY MUST YOU TAUNT ME CARRABAS?????

I'd have to conclude that a good % of players have experienced pvp in some way shape or form and I wouldn't begin to try and name them all ^^
p.s. SZ were are and always will be scrubs compaired to the real pvps out there ~^

Since Helz and I started dueling regularily we haven't found one PvP player who doesn't use chicken: NOT ONE. The only ears we've gotten are from 1 hits on people who aren't really built for PvP (like a 58 druid hostiling my BOTD barb in a NM Baal run and getting tele-whirled..quite the head on that dude's shoulders) or just lucky shots on people with badly build duelers...I'd argue that dueling is no longer worth it on hardcore.

actually matt no clue if that 58 tele merc+bear druid used chicken, he had bo and probably used a # chicken life not a % if he did use chicken. Anyways he most likely did thinking he was so bad ***, he never saw your botd cb, I'm good at hiding wpns. But basically dueling wise I've come across almost no non chickeners. Most of the 1's that don't use chicken aren't duelers but pvm noobs or if they do use chicken I hit them way too hard. Basically I can name quite a few chickeners. Every 2 handed pally I've come across has used chicken (big suprise), also I think most have autoaim hack for charging in. Also ww barbs have 50% chicken generally. Whats worse is most call pots bad manners (pots are perfectly fine in hc dueling), yet leaving the game with a hack is 100% legit and fine in their eyes.
So when we say chicken/mh has ruined hc dueling imagine not being able to kill a dueler that is by far inferior to you, or basically people making suicide duelers that have really high chicken go for 1 hit kills if they fail or get hit they leave instantly and can almost never die.
SZ as I recall was a sorry excuse for a pvp clan. I killed like 6-8 of their duelers with ease using duelers of the same or lower lvl. I've got a few of their ears on an old mule still.
As far as I know I'm the only non mhing dueler out there, there are a few that mh and don't use chicken but as far as I know I'm the ONLY one that doesn't use mh while dueling on east.
BTW that lvl 58 druid I killed was using his merc+bear and teleing in a game with lvl 40-50 and most likely did use chicken. The bo gave him a boost of life but I think I 2 hit him with matt's barb (barb didn't have might merc activated).

LLD is frustrating at times. I'm getting really good at hiding my weapon... :lol:

I had a run-in with Za-Tell again. He joined a LLD game and hostiled people with his 89 sorc. I rejoined with my barb and he was about to duel me, but when he went to exit town his chicken exited him from the game...he never came back.
Another story from today: An 80 zon made a game entitled 'join and die' so I decided to go in and die...I hostiled her and said 'how do you expect to kill me', she says 'tppk'. I replied with 'you can't tppk someone you're hostile to'...after this she UNHOSTILES me and walks outside of town to try and tppk me. I tele'd on top of her and landed a really terrible roll for my whirlwind and she chickened out. I was sooo angry that I didn't get her but wow...that about sums up PvP right now.

Za-Tell is a funny guy. I've made him chicken easily over 150 times. Best shot he's ever got on me did 1/3 damage.

yeah sucks doesn't it, but I'm leaning towards the chicken killers, sure its not a fair fight but then again they deserve all that and a swift kick in the arse. Chickeners are pansies on top of using chicken for the most part, they seem to excel at turning down every duel until they can see that you are a pvm noob, makes the pt of having a dueler seem well... ASSANINE! IMO, a chickener should be forced to duel some1 2 class lvls above them to equal out their hack. I consider the class lvls to be 9,12,14,16,18,21,25,30,34,37,39,42,58,73. So a lvl 35 chickener should fight either other chickeners or a legit 39ish dueler. They never do though so outsmart them make noob chars and let them die to their own stupidity.

How long you gonna pound your head against the wall kime? Nothing in any game beats the thrill of knowing you deservedly took an ear (or gear) off of someone in an equal/fair duel, but almost nothing sucks more then losing to someone who doesn't deserve to be in the same game as you...I get frustrated just thinking of countless hours spent trying to simply convince a chicken user to fight me, only for it to last 3-4 seconds then poof they're gone...
Quit D2 and come pwn the poker tables with me!!!!

heh, thats why I am starting up teh noob doolars! It keeps me from getting too bored, and I suck too much at poker, betting all in too much and calling it when I have jack squat. I need a shirt that says I'm not with stupid, eye bee stooped!

no clue depends how fast I get bored (usually not long) then I take a break sit afk in a channel or on a mule then come back on and get bored again (sense a pattern). Anyways try 11 p.m. or so.

Chicken is still the niftiest thing though. For example - I was playing the other night with the friend of my friend's son's second cousin's dogwalker and he would get kicked evertime we hit the ws chamber. One blue wave of ouchness touched him and poof ... bye bye! So he never got any baal xp. (he was there to beef up the xp for my baby) people set it to 1/2 life or 1/3 life or whatever they set it to and when they take that much damage they get kicked out of the game. It sometimes keeps you from dieing if the beasts are kind enough to leave a few seconds between hits. It can however mean you get killed and booted at the same time and therefore loose loot.
It is the worst kind of cowardice because it is protecting an imaginary character from computer death ... and it isn't even always effective.

Yeah, its the hidden field you select in the top right corner of the character selection screen when making a hc char. But you have to edit your registry first. Takes a while to find it. Blizzard doesn't want you to use it - that's why its hidden.MarkDavis said:
