OT: What does it mean to you to be part of the SPF?

Well I agree with most of the people so far but for me the main reason i like it is because of the guides and the tradeing i can do here that i couldnt do before i found this place.I have traded alot in this fourm and now i trust most all of the people not to trade a duped or hacked item to me.

And ofcourse i like durf makeing me laugh when the day hasent gone well for me in real life.Durfs always good for a laugh.

well im in fact a advanced spam bot farting bob is not a real person. Thats why i dont bother with spelling, grammar, or making any sence, oh, and all my posts are off topic.

And there is a difference between laughing with someone, and laughing at durf. its just fortunate durf doesnt know the difference.

Another great thing about this place is that folks keep returning!!

Hey M_D  Long time no see. :D

What does the SPF mean to me?

The SPF is an arena of discourse. It is A place to learn and spread your knowledge. Some times this discourse expands into mathematical extrapolation or spontaneously self-combusts, but above all, the SPF always manages to pull through.

Why is it the SPF consistently has the most viewers?
There is a reason. Because everyone here, although they may prefer one character over another (like me, who personally hates playing druids), I understand that each character holds their own the game, and every person has knowledge about that character (at least some). Because those who play SP must know their characters very well (how else do we conquer hell alone, let alone in HC?), the knowledge of the members of the SPF is vast and enormous. Look at our FAQ's. Not only are they extensive, but very helpful (and everyone should read the collected and permanent knowledge).

Also, bnet players (rest their souls) occupy every other forum on the whole, whereas we, the members of the SPF, occupy one little living space. We gather around not solely a character, a play type (HC anyone? or dueling (clan Honor). We gather around all of those styles, all at once.

This is what the SPF means to me. A collective knowledge of members, working together to provide the best possible community to cultivate and spread their personal knowledge and incorporate that into the knowledge of the forum.

And of course, to drink beer and blame durf, all while kicking shins and watching out for the squid.

And happy howdy to you to AE.
Good to see ya still keeping these fine folk whipped into shape.

I have started playing a little more regularly again, and my RL has settled into more of a dull roar. I still don't have the posting time I used to but hope I can get in a little more often. I have to balance my growing GW addiction in there somewhere as well. :teeth:

 @ Durf. Man had I known it would have made such a difference I would have bought a Mac years ago!

Nah its a place where advatars get santa hats, and people come to chat about a 5+ year old game. Good times I say.

By the way no santa hat for me I'm stealing a Christmas tree.

Hey, it's not the Mac that modified the man! I use only Macs and look what I look like! (Looks at avatar) Oh...forget I said anything... ;)

Anyway, I like the SPF because the people here are kind and friendly. Although board buddies come and go, sometimes for good, in general it's a nice place. I've been here at the DiabloII.net SPF in it's various incarnations for years (although you can't tell because I had to reregister a couple of times because of board moves/crashes). I don't post much, and sometimes I'm gone for months, but I always check back and browse for a few hours at a time (and sometimes even post).

*kills farting bob and wraps him in a carpet*
pay no attention to the ravings of an obvious lunatic, all posts are authentic and from human source

I am not a part of the SPF, I cannot be tied down to one forum, I need to be free

*hurls carpet bob into river*

You'll never be free so long as you're engulfed in fear that Salma Hayek wants me more than she wants you.

* leaps on Carpet Bob and begins paddling upriver to the free states *
