OT Thread! : "All your post count are belong to me"

Time for a new Off topic / community forum thread methinks.

For any newcomers - this is the place for general chit chat (so that the regular threads dont get spammed up)!

Speaking of spam... a LOT of the necro forum threads seem to be going OT, even though there is a stuck OT thread.

If the forum was a puppy I would tap it on the nose with a rolled up newspaper. :D

As it happens, you *aren't* a puppy but I still feel the need to make a general *BAD SPAMMERS >whack<* kinda thing. Sooooo

I've deleted the old OT thread as I reserved the right to do long ago.

Now you understand the title. All your post count are belong to meh :king:

Lets keep the spam in the right place this time, and hopefully peoples post counts wont have to take a nose dive in future. =P
 
Man DK, it is pretty cruel to hit a dog on the nose. You are better of just hitting the top of the head.

Kind of ironic that a post about spam from NC meant the demise of our old OT thread.

EDIT: and that the OT still isn't called The Graveyard.
 
there was plenty annoyance over the course of the last thread, the contents here were often poor, and outside threads suffered as well

edit: oh, if this happens again would you be so kind as to lock the thread for a day or two before deleting it in case we need to recover any information before its gone, like links or something
 
The last thread did derail. But the question was answered. They all get answered. The advice given was sound.

What annoyed me more were the numerous "fake threads".

regarding other comments in that dead thread, garbad said he recommended fenris for mod, now for anybody thats been in the druid forum for more than a couple months fenris=fenriswulf, a well respected druid member, and so many of us believed that was who he was referring to
 
I have no idea what you folks are talking about. But that's what happens when you never look into the OT thread in the first place.

By the same token though, my post count didn't suffer.

We were talking about events in both the OT thread and the thread that was recently closed by DK. Since you do not post in the OT thread your post count will not suffer.

Although it makes me wonder if people are actually worried about their post count. It is not like a high post count is a status symbol or anything. It doesn't make you penis longer. It won't guarantee success in life and it certainly does not give you anymore money.

it doesn't matter to me, but it is a good indicator, I saw my count drop by over 100 and I quickly came to lament the death of the OT thread
 
I didn't even notice your post count dropping. It is back up to the normal figure right?

What I do miss about the OT are the funny posts. Not the bragging. There were some good pieces of OT in it.

someone said I was at 10,7xx so no I'm behind, but it doesn't matter to me, other people keep track of it better than I do, I don't post for a number, I'm just trying to entertain myself and everyone else
 
I like helping people with what I know about Necro's. Every once in a while you learn a new trick. That is what it is all about for me; sharing information about a certain build.
 
Yay! A new OT thread! :clap:

The other was becoming somewhat 'long in the tooth'.

Is there a general length in the numbers of posts (not spamming, mind you) that the OT can have before being deleted? I know that there is a grey area but I like to know just so that I can save potentially valuable information for later perusal like somebody already stated. I'd like to second it is all.
