I was irrational? I'd like to hear the exact reasons people voted for me. How many will give rational answers?

Actually I thought Nikon was being totally rational and that Sint was being irrational. Nikons posts just made more sense... I'm still not sure why more people didn't believe him.

Calm down, explain that what he did was not a proper response to your argument, sound less forceful, mainly be amenable to repeatedly explaining to other townies what may seem glaringly obvious to you (note to self: take own advice)...

SiTro voted for you at two points: post 701, then post 734

goltar25 didn't like your tone: post725

water_moon makes a good summary: post 749

So me and Sint can repeat the same thing ad nauseum?

SiTro however, actually looked past my "rudeness" and unvoted me as far as I remember. What I mean is that after everything's been said people should actually read it.

As far as post #749 is concerned

No...

You needed to convince the townies that your argument was sound (whether or not it actually was) so that they would go along with you. You were ingratiating yourself with the voters.

He did, but if you didn't notice, not all of the town was as active in this game as we were, so when they take a few quick looks and get a bad impression from you, they're not as inclined to take your long arguments seriously. That rolleyes emote is an example of what I'm referring to...

Annyoyance goes both ways you know. As far as arguements go, I'm inclined to think that only by reading a post you can gain understanding of its content (and yes, I actually read Sint's post) and reach oneness with the information. Don't judge a book by its covers, mayhaps?

I'll agree with you about the reading of posts. However, maybe I should say a good book is more likely to be read if the cover is friendly and inviting.

That's why he puts his name on the books in Big Letters...

By friendly and inviting I meant appealing to the target audience:

In Stephen King's case: Books that sound and look scary for people who want scary stories.

For a game of mafia, an argument that sounds well thought out and objective in approach, and that does not insult any player's intelligence. The target audience being townies who want to lynch mafia.

So Nikon, cop or no?

Care to elaborate?
Let's see... you know who the mafia are, and you named them without letting anyone know you are the cop. What did you expect would happen? You could have played it a bit more carefully and just lead the town in the right direction, or come out entirely into the open (disclose you are the cop) Instead, you start a smear campaign against Sint, which at times I thought got pretty personal. Maybe it's just your writing style, but it did strike me as abrasive. At one point, I was seriously considering PM'ing skoolbus or even Cattleya that things were getting out of hand. My vote to lynch you was simply to get some sort of sense into the discussions (and yes, I did give this reason at the time of voting) Sint was getting enough attention anyway and there is a definite pattern of the more talkative getting lynched/murdered early (Rash was the only exception), you could have focused on Moar or muzzz.

I just feel that knowing exactly who the mafia are, you could have played your hand better. IMO, even knowing 2 out of 3 is sufficient to come out into the open. True, it will probably have got you lynched, but it would have placed the three under suspicion and probably got one or two lynched immediately. What's a little self-sacrifice when it's in the town's interest?

BTW, guys, it's ok to use the edit button now...

Uh, average cop....

Hinting your role days 1 & 2: A+ (The mafia missed it)

Attempting to get inspected mafia lynched: D (You got lynched first)

You would have done better by just claiming to be the cop (I'm starting to rethink about when to claim such things, you probably could have said it to avoid the lynch for a few days)...

Although I'll let the other players provide their own opinions for the second option...

I'm still trying to get over how the town thought I killed Sitro and imprisoned goltar.....

I would also like to know how the mafia planned their night kills...

First of all congratulations to Jaago.

A very good tactical move from Muzzz those last few days. I really thought Rashiminos had been the corrupt cop, since the few surviving townies thought exactly the same way it worked out very well. Nevertheless, I had not forgotten Muzzz' slip of the tongue on the first day, and hoped that GoHabsGo and Skunkbelly would follow Goltar25 with their votes. Skunkbelly's reasoning was solid and made it very clear that he was not mafia, unfortunately the corrupt cop was still alive.

I thought Jrlafrance was the cop, due to his remark on my doctorship. I'm sure others had taken notice of my function as well, but apparently I was not deemed enough of a threat to be taken out early. This proved right, since I did not manage to save anyone, sometimes I was in doubt between a few, in the end chose one of them, and then have one of the others murdered. This was most notably the case with Jrlafrance, after his remark on me possibly being doctor (which I read as a hint he'd identified me as such during the night), I was quite sure he was the cop and would probably be murdered during the night. However, along came Thyiad with her remark on exactly opposite suspicions (to mine), and I changed from Jrlafrance to her being the primary candidate to be murdered that night. This proved unfortunate, since in the end it was Jrlafrance who was murdered (and yes I've been having a trauma about this ever since). Quite a few times I saved someone only to have them murdered the next night. Here is my list of saves:
1 Sir Lister Of Smeg
2 RevenantsKnight
3 Thyiad
4 Sitro
5 Water_Moon
6 CDRToast
7 Rashiminos
8 GoHabsGo
9 Skunkbelly
10 Muzzz

At some point I really had no clue anymore about who could possibly be innocent, which sort of explains my last four saves. It looks very bad now, my last save having been Muzzz.

:flip: = 'nuff said.

I almost thought you'd never do it.

GG, mafia. I never thought Muzz was one of you, but I admit I never needed to think too much about such things. Still, I can't believe how people managed to think Rash was a mobster.

To be honest, at some points I didn't know myself what I was doing in the game because I kinda hadn't prepared to be the VI. Moreover, all my early-game strategies were blown apart by the mafia murders (especially when I tried to frame myself and RK) that's why I just started to be a loose cannon. I sure was disappointed at myself when I got Sint lynched instead of me, I could've reasoned less then, bleh.

I still don't know why I wasn't murdered, though.
