OT: The SPF Mafia Game Round Three

Well, it looks like it's my turn to go down. At this point, I still suspect muzzz, but I'm less sure of it. I've made mistakes with earlier votes, and this one may very well be a mistake too. But there's no point changing it, GoHabsGo and skunkbelly won't get lynched with the current state of things.

But I do want to state one thing. If I'm lynched, the mafia will win. I'm going to go retreat into my room, do as you will. If there's enough change in how everyone is thinking, I may come back and change my vote. Don't count on it though.

I've been thinking about this off and on all day, and I'm just not sure. But I really want to be sure before lynching someone at this point in the game.

I'm still not sure I'm willing to take the risk of not voting... if the remaining mafia member is the CD, a stalemate means the town loses. But I'm fairly sure the CD is dead, and I'm less sure than I was about goltar for some reason.

Oddly enough, I'm finding myself more and more suspicious of GoHabsGo, simply because he's been so strangely unsuspected throughout the game. But I have nothing but my guts to base that suspicion on, so I'm loathe to vote on it. I guess what I'm saying, really, is that everyone is suspicious, yet nobody has a totally compelling case against them.

@ skoolbus: could you please give us a few hours notice (preferably 8 or more) before the end of the day? Thanks.
 
I've been mildly suspicious of GoHabs at times as well. But only because he's been lying relatively low. His reasoning seemed sensible enough to me. On the goltar side of things, I found his "If I'm lynched, the mafia will win" a bit pushy.

But all in all, I'm not sure either.
 
If it's worth anything : unlike the first 2 or 3 days where I was pretty active, I became a more discrete player because I believe townies over-analyzing everything and throwing their suspicions left and right just confuses everyone. I also wanted to keep a voting table (who voted/unvoted for who during the whole game) but the huge proportion this post took combined with the lack of time to read made me quit this strategy.

My mind hasn't changed much over the weekend, Goltar seem like the most likely mafia candidate. Perhaps Muzzz his mafia and didn't want to bandwagon the Goltar vote too fast so we didn't jump on his case. He might of wanted to wait close to the end of the day and throw in the last vote. But I feel I'm over-analyzing again so meh...

What makes me suspect Goltar the most right now his the fact that he voted so quick on this last and critical day. Considering Skunk and I haven't really suspected each other throughout the game, he probably felt his best bet was to point at Muzzz as quick as possible.
 
Not quite. Look at my vote yesterday. I voted for Jaago because he didn't vote for Rash the day before. As he pointed out, muzzz also didn't vote for Rash. I now believe Rash was mafia. Therefore, with Jaago and muzzz not voting for Rash, it makes sense for them to be the remaining two mafia. Plus, in the later days (not today obviously, I'd rather not lose that easily), I've been tending to show up early, vote, and not show up again. I wasn't sure how much time I'd have to come back in, so I continued in this pattern, because it's the easiest to do with limited time.

I'm still not too sure why I'm bothering, but since skunkbelly changed his vote, it seems to be worth it again. When is this day ending by the way?

I think we're getting close to a 72-hour day. It wouldn't surprise me if skoolbus ends the day when he comes online again, or a few hours later if he honors skunk's request.
 
I'm likely not playing again either way. At least not with this setup. The days are dragging out FAR too long, and without real life interactions, it's not all that much fun. It's too much of a random guessing game.
 
I've made a decision not to decide. I need more information. I basically have no idea who is mafia or not... I have arguments why any of the three of you could be, but none are completely convincing. The only way we lose, at this point, is if the CD is still alive... but I am relatively sure she/he is dead.

I think it will be easier (and less risky) to try to pick the one mafia out of three survivors. I only hope I'm here to help do it.
 
I still think a no-lynch is too risky. When I place my vote, I know I have a 1/3 chance to lynch a mafia. If we wait for tomorrow, it cuts down to 1/2 chance BUT, there is also 50% chance the CD is still alive. So basically it comes down to this;

1. Lynch someone now with 1/3 chance of winning the game.

2. No-lynch, a 1/2 chance to lose (if CD is still alive) and if not, another 1/2 roll to lynch the remaining mafia member.

So what's better guys, one 33% roll or two 50% roll?
 
Daytime. At this point, I believe the game is officially over, I was just waiting to make sure muzzz was going to detain someone, thereby making it impossible for the town to lynch him.

As you can probably tell, Jaago was the village idiot, congrats to him for getting himself lynched. Congrats to the mafia for suviving (barely) til the end. Congrats to Nikon who had it all figured out, shame no one listened to him.

I said Jaedhann was a mason, I never said he was a CD.

That's not important though, I realized I played quite badly and probably screwed the game by the time you lynched me. Never really saw muzzz as mafia during the massive re-read. Should have gone with my earlier instincts, particularly that day 1 inactive stuff (MUZZZ).

Ooh, I'm allowed to edit now. I forgot to ask, was Jaedhann one of the masons?
 
Wow I never thought muzz as the other mafia... So Rash were you the cop?

Me and Jaedhann were the masons, how did you know that? I was not happy at all when he got lynched.:angry:
 
I was a townie. I guessed Jaedhann was a mason when water_moon made the mention about searching for a ring, primarily because I thought she was a mason.
