OT: Pokémon Go Mini-Bar

Lots of regionals but no shinies. 45 eggs total.

Good week other than how busy I've become in teachers college. It's only going to get busier (and more exciting)...

In more exciting news, I've lost about 15 pounds since I started playing pogo in January! This is the lightest I've been in 5 years, for sure. I'm still a bit chubby but at least according to BMI I'm barely in the overweight category...

I hatched a couple of normal Kangaskan, the local regional. Most of my eggs were the normal stuff you get, with only a couple regionals. I didn't hatch too many, maybe 15-20 7kms, as I don't have enough coins stored to get the current boxes and hefty Incubators. Also, I didn't have one of my jobs that requires me to walk for well over an hour per day this week, so have done a lot less walking.

Missed out on today's Community Day. :( But I don't mind it too much.
 
Since I’m 40, be my guest. Goes for everyone since I’m already at max level. Still no shiny regional. Two shiny turtles though.
 
@Drystan dj I think is in Ohio and I'm in Pennsylvania, we are like 8 hours drive time apart from eachother but still in the same time zone.

@djmbbandie thanks, sorry for the short notice on the egg thing and I kind of just did it anyway, we can coordinate better on best friends if you do want the extra experience next time, just let me know.

I have one regional shiny so far, Mr. Mime, which honestly is the best looking one anyway, so I'm ok with that. Got no unknowns last week so that was a bust. I dislike these egg events, the chances are so low, so you have to burn through 20 thousand incubators to get anything decent.

Shiny turtles I got a bunch, all of them had crap stats, but whatever hold on to them forever for no reason at all.
 
How did your Mewtwo Raid Hours go? NZ apparently didn't get theirs, and then we got ours here, but immediately after, everyone was getting News messages pop up from "Two days ago" and "Yesterday" and "Today," saying that due to unknown issues, Mewtwo Raid Hour would be postponed to a future date.

I'm hoping that means we get a second one. :D
 
Nothing in the Midwest. Per Niantic the last day to catch is Monday the 23rd. I’m going to be doing a ton Saturday and Sunday........
 
I'm going to try get a few. For our Raid Hour, I got a 98%, 15Attack and Stamina. No shiny, but the Psy Strike move makes T3 Machamp raids very easy. He's so good, but they'll have to re-balance eventually again.
 
I've still only done 4 raids, but one of them was 98% with 15 attack. No shiny.

pharphette hasn't done any raids, yet
 
I've done about 15 raids, both me and the wife have a shiny so that's good.

No shiny regionals and I hatched ~ 100 eggs last week and about the same this week - had a bunch of incubators from buying boxes saved that I hadn't used.
 
darn, pretty unlucky there. Only a few more eggs for me to hatch then I'm done. At least I've got a few of each regional to trade for those who need it.
 
@pharphis you might want to let pharphette use an lucky egg as I just turned best friends with her.

No shiny mewtwo, so waiting till October 8th. Good news is that day I will be playing in Santa Monica so my chances should go up with the army of spoofers there.... did get an 96% that I’m considering raising.
 
How was everyone’s community day? I made it to San Francisco during this event and scored 6 shiny trapinches 2 3-stars, and 1 shiny giratina thanks to spoofers near pier 39 (the best place to play pogo). Pretty content as I only did one raid and got it.
 
I thought San Fran was a really good area for PoGo? Big PoGo Youtubers post videos from there, (or so I thought?), with a good number of spawns.

I recall so many posts in our FB chat complaining of "oh, hatched another Trapinch...", so I really wasn't fussed with this one. Flygon isn't one that I would power up, but afterwards, when I saw the shiny variant, I felt I should've at least gotten one. I skipped this months. The shiny Flygon looks awesome...
Our local community, I met up with today, were underwhelmed. A lot of people found significantly less than previous community days. Where most of the group would get 6, 10, 14+, some of the regulars got 0, 2, 6, and said that the number of Trapinch were quite low compared with other usual spawns. Maybe Niantic tried to tweak the numbers? I don't know, but a lot of our regulars got a lot less than previous C.Days.
 
the spawn rate was definitely different. In fact, I went about 5 mins without even seeing a trapinch at one point (I saw about 25 other mon).

I only got 4 shiny (3 were nearly back to back with 3/4 spawns in a row being shiny) but that's ok, too many shiny = delete for space anyway.

I did a couple of trades with pharphette and the very first one gave me a hundo (non-lucky) so I'll likely be boosting it all the way to level 40 lol. I already had a lucky one from months ago that I could finally evolve (I'm working toward the lucky dex)
 
There were so many people in SF near the piers that my phone crashed and was only recesitated outside the area. I’m in Northern California on vacation for the next two days so I thought SF would be a good point (first time I was here in 17 I caught so many magikarp and dratini....)

Spawns were crazy in the entire Bay Area. Lots of them everywhere for the most part.

Yeah I heard it was not as good in some areas - was still fine for me in general. I got ~ 6 in the normal park I play for Community day and then left after 1.5 hours. Managed to pick up another two while driving around to do food shopping.
 
@Drystan in the stupidity of my tiredness I opened the gift from you so we went best friends. I'm sorry! Hopefully if you start up the game and you are able to throw on the egg real quick you can get the extra xp as well although I see you are already 40 so you might not care.

@Pyrotechnician - I was actually in a raid with a friend here. We were in an area with only one gym and one pokestop. The stop was over an 80km/hr road, so really not much where we are. With the new wayfarer pokestop nominations, we've been finding new stops and potential places to nominate popping up a lot.
With that, we were actually at a raid, and were keeping an eye on our accounts as they got closer to best friend. During the raid, I said to him that that raid would trigger BF, and to put a lucky egg on, post raid. He threw one on and got the bonus, while I wasn't fussed. Within 5 minutes after the raid, as we were chatting, your notification popped up! XD I barely even registered it, just closing the notification, but yeah, was playing when it popped up.

Don't worry. I've let all internationals take the xp bonus if they want it. I'm already 40, and have a number of locals lined up, waiting for a Raid Hour or Community Day to do them with everyone else. I hope you had an egg on at the time if you wanted the extra XP?
