OT: Pokémon Go Mini-Bar

It is too cold to play (-20 feels like -33) but I've been out so little the last few days (I was only at about 12 km this week) I decided to go out for an hour just now... so close to getting both celebi and meltan, now that the hoenn event isn't in my way lol.
 
Beyond the original Red/Blue/Yellow, the only other generation I really know is Pearl/Diamond/Platinum, so gen 4. Giratina is a bit of a let down when it was released earlier, but Palkia, Dialga and the Lake Trio.
Along with the best pseudo-legendary, Garchomp!
 
Exact same for me. Caught my first one today lol. I wasn't able to land any curveballs until today, either. Did they shift the position or did I suddenly learn what angle to throw at? I still can't manage the spacing for great curveballs, though I normally do when I try for most pokemon

At least mine was good! 93% with perfect atk. Still don't have the "catch 10 dragon" medal lol.
 
New event, maybe you can get your dragonite now.

I have two ex raid passes (one from a friend). Both for Valentine’s Day. Looks like I will be busy that day........
 
ya I've caught a few dratini since. Busy couple of days but I'll probably try to get a ton this weekend when I have more time and motivation
 
I am 10/10 for Palkia. Find this one pretty easy to be honest (not quite as easy as Groudon, but still Easy).

I generally have betwen 14 and 18 balls though (bestfriend, plus damage bonus)
 
I’ve got 5 now. Today I did two ex raids and got two deoxys attack forms. Anyone else think this one is easier than all the other ex’s? I dual teamed the second one with a friend.

With this Valentine’s Day event I think I’ll push for getting a melmetal. Community day is also Saturday. Nice of niantic to overwhelm us this month with events.....
 
Ya I read that it was an EASY dual, which is nice because I got an invite for one next week. My first ex-raid and my GF and I can handle it together if no one else shows up (also it's reading week so we have the time to actually do it). Too bad it looks like Deoxys (attack) is trash. Not sure if all deoxys are but oh well.

I wound up with 2 shiny spoink (also 1 poochyena) from the last event and since they boosted the spinda task rate I FINALLY found one (3, actually).

Still need 60 more candy to evolve my first magikarp (170 km walked with it).

Lately I've been trying to keep track of which genders I'm missing for each mon in my pokedex. Something relatively easy to fill out I guess. Now that I've evolved 1 of most things it seems like the obvious next step for me so that it's one less thing to use my brain on in the future lol
 
I solo'd a Deoxys A (before the buffed hp of all raids). It is very easy.

All Deoxys are trash - other than maybe Defence for PVP.
 
Lots of shinnies for me and my wife yesterday (she was busy so I took both phones) Did one level five raid yesterday and of course I caught the one on my wife's profile but not mine. Very frustrating haha. I evolved 5 of them during the event. I know ancient power is trash but I'm banking on them changing its function to increase stats like it does in the actual games and didn't want to not have that option.
 
they did change it but only in pvp apparently. Maybe they'll rework things more so it works in raids + gyms as well.

I got 8 shinies yesterday (my GF got about the same) but they all had crap IVs
 
ya pharphette and I swapped our worst shinies and although it wasn't lucky they at least both became 80%+ IVs. Maybe we'll swap 1-2 more but since you can only trade once in pogo (whyyyy) we might just hang onto them... We did also swap ~50 other swinubs so far with no lucky yet. I'd like to swap all of them since I know 1-12 mamoswines would be pretty useful
 
I got three, but that was because I was traveling during the three hours. One wonder with exceeded calculations.

Caught a shieldon,buizel,and combee randomly in the wild as well that day to add to my collection.

The 100% piloswine has also been evolved for legacy move and adding avalanche purposes. That one is my work in progress.

And of course, I finally hatched a shiny magikarp with bad stats, but I don’t really care. Evolved immediately and also in the process of maxing.

As long as it isn’t a special trade, I’m pretty sure you can trade multiple times.
 
I wound up with 4 or 5 luckies, and had enough candy to evolve them all and get one of them to lvl 30. Thankfully one of them had all ice moves (I don't have tons of TMs) and another had all ground moves.

Finally evolved a decent magikarp (after 201 km walking with one) and will get mew tomorrow. Just need to waste ~25 more berries on while catching stuff. Excited to finally evolve my shiny feebas (I have 4 total). I have ~380 total pokemon caught now with some "easy" ones still missing (blastoise, sandslash, graveller, golem, gengar, kingler, seaking, hitmonchan, hitmonlee, hitmontop, omastar, quagsire, politoad, poliwrath, dugtrio, dodrio, lanturn, octillery, and a couple sinnoh evolutions)

and more, of course. Those are mostly from memory. Bad luck on some of those spawns.

I did hatch Happiny yesterday :)

I also reached level 32 the other day. I've done ~450 research tasks in the last 1.5 months (since I started) so I've kept a really good pace. I'll definitely be slowing down, though, as there are less things to work towards
 
I'm just shy of level 35 and I've been playing since launch. Tells you how dedicated I am to anything anymore.

I would love to Max a few of my Pokemon but stardust cost is high. So I pretty much just maintain a chosen few at my current level.

And on the trading it's multiple times except for special trades and shinny falls into that so I have that single shot for a lucky shinny on the day of the event which is make or break on use of evolving.
 
I ended up with 14 shinies, wife ended up with 19. No good ones though.

I didn't bother with many if any Ancient Power Mamoswines. Generally speaking you'll want Powder Snow / Avalanche or mud slap / bulldoze. Ancient Power offers nothing for raiding, and Mamoswine is not the best PVPer.

note that ps / ava makes Mamoswine the top ice pokemon and by far the best counter to Rayquaza.
 
I got one good ice mamo, one good ground mamo and the rest have a mix of moves so I'll leave them unleveled for now. I'm happy to finally be able to kill dragonites lol. Sadly my altaria (~1800 CP) was my best choice in many circumstances since it had dragon/fairy attacks.
 
This weekend was good at the end as well as I picked up my first shiny luvdisc (terrible stats).

Looking forward to the next event this weekend, could use some boosted waters as it’s supposed to pour vigorously on Saturday.

I wonder what the next legendary is. I hope they introduce a shiny rayquaza as I would go hard to get one of those....
