OT: Pokémon Go Mini-Bar

<3 gen 3

I was hoping to get shinx before all the raids changed but my shifts/classes/tutoring is always when raids are happening (10am-6pmish)

I'll get some time tomorrow morning... really want to get complete my 2x "level 3 raid or higher" research tasks.

Did anyone else catch castform but it claimed to be a different pokemon after? I've had this happen TWICE today, and once another day with eggsecute becoming scyther. I assume it's me taking too long to catch them (pausing while tutoring) and GPs issues.

I've done one Groudon raid so far. Love the new raids, and the re-vamped enthusiasm. New and old players want to raid heavily again!
Hopefully I can, but I plan to do quite a few raids and get some good IV legendaries! These are two that I've seen get praised a lot for their power/ability, so hopefully I can get a few myself.

The only 'mon is Ditto, which can be disguised as Rattata, Pidgey, etc. I've never seen any reports of 'mon turning into scyther, although, on the overlay map, I've seen old (expired) spawns overlapping the newer spawn, and them disappearing when pressed. Maybe a form of an expired spawn and new spawn overlapping?

Ya my guess is they have weird server communication that just eventually overwrites an old slot when enough time passes, rather than hanging onto it indefinitely or telling the player "you took too long so they fled"

i've done 3 Groudon raids so far. Both my wife and I have a shiny Groudon now which is fairly lucky.

She did ~60 Ho-oh raids without a shiny so nice to be done early this time.

Did quite a few ( for me) raids today, mostly Kyogre, but one Groudon. I want the high IV or shiny Groudon. Kyogre, based on catch rate and difficulty, is just annoying. Don't like raiding Kyogre already, but most people in our raid groups love Groudon, so lots of activity.

You never experienced hard mode Kyogre - it had a small catch circle and moved around like anything ....

I’m trying to get in some raids either today or tomorrow. I need more groudon. I akesrdy have two shiny kyogre.

Gifts for the next few days until next Saturday will be from west coast. Pyro is the only one that hasn’t opened his previous one so I can’t send him any. @cakes can you send me one more so I can open and pick up the exp for Ultra friends?

I don’t have a lot of the shinies outside community day. I would like the golden caterpie. Don’t have shiny wailmer/swablu/pluses/nidoran/a lot of others either.

The previous version of kyogre when it first came out I was 1 for 9. Then they made it easier with the jntro of the shiny. I’ve got a pretty nice 95%er pink one.

3 shiny feebas today and got myself 2 groudons since I noticed some people raiding :D

I still have 3 research tasks to complete so hopefully I'll get another one. My GF got none so thankfully I got multiple.

not bad pharphis - we ended up with 2x each, but we were very lucky compared to the rest of our group.

I must admit I did not enjoy that event one bit - way too grindy and not a lot of fun.

I ended up getting two shiny feebas, and everyone I met had between 0-3.

I didn't mind it. I think the quest selection was a bit odd, but was very busy going around the CBD with many other active players. The quest selections should be more "Researchy," or relevant to Feebas, and I did get caught up a few times with 3x Hatch 1 Egg, and a long gap between hatching. I had 9 Eggs going, with space between all their hatch distances, and ended up just having to wait for the next one to hatch. I don't think I did many "15 Nice Curveballs," opting to prefer the 10 Greats.

I did socialise a bit with strangers, and we had perfect weather for it, so while the quest choice could be improved, with a bit more variability and relatedness, I enjoyed my afternoon in the city. It sounds like most of the others, individuals and groups, did as well, with one guy making up for zero feebas with a shiny zigzagoon.

It was awful weather here... I didn't even realize just how cold it was while I was out, though. I only played for 2 hours because I had to work.

Thinking back I think I only did about 15 tasks. Hm. Still one more to finish but it's so cold here I might wait until midnight to grab it (to keep my streak going - I still need more legendary dogs + birds)

Weather definitely factors into enjoyment. We had about 23-25 celcius, sunny, clear, and in most of our parks, plenty of shade, so perfect for picnics, meetings, socialising, taking kids/pets out. As such, more people were out, and just having fun, either being out in the weather or socialising (with friends or strangers.) Everyone seemed very relaxed, in CBD here.

Freezing cold, and really working for those couple shinies, in less than pleasant conditions, would definitely change my perspective completely.

That's rough, buddy.

I... couldn't imagine playing in that cold. Mad props to those who did the questing in those climates. A tiny bit of rain here, and we all complain about how hard it is to swipe properly! I honestly don't think I'd do much if the weather was that cold! Props to you!

Did about 8. Have 1 left over. Not a single shiny. Saw a horde of people over at the pier though. However, no 5-stars in the entire area. Looks like I’ll have to get groudon next weekend. Excellent weather in la though.

*serves sad drinks.

I was under the impression that different areas have different biomes which means you basically will only ever draw pokemon from a specific pool. Hence, when I have a windy day (often, in the winter) I still never see ANY dragon types. When I go to campus I see plenty of things I never see near my home (aron, wobuffet, shuckle, etc.).

Is today tododile day? I've been telling myself I should go out less since I've walked 130 km in under 2 weeks (blisters) and I hate winter. Still, trying to find a ditto for the research tasks

The different biomes do have different impacts, the common spawn nests also rotate periodically. I know the group I participate in list the spawn nests as they are discovered for all of the surrounding areas. Dragon type though isn't a common type to see on its own even though the chances are "increased" from weather though.

Pyro, I owe you a drink if you’re ever in Cleveland. I got my first chingling from your egg .024 hatch rate in 7ks.

Got myself seven shiny tododiles. Two are fully evolved for the move.

@Phar : how far away are you from water? We see dratinis occasionally here in downtown Cleveland because we’re by water.

Sure why not, I don't think I have to head to Ohio anytime soon again though. Last year I was in columbus for two weeks, and I honestly don't know how far those two are from eachother, I'm too lazy to map it.

Anyway, yesterday was cold similar to pharphis, we made it out though to at least try and get something from the event. I got one shiny feebas, it had IVs in the upper 80s so I was fine with that. My wife got one too but it wasn't as good. On the flip side we did two groudon raids, she got a shinny on hers and I got a standard but the IVs were very good 15/15/13. We did one more raid near the end of the feebas event and my wife got another plain one, mine ran on me so that pissed me off. Can't win them all though.
