Oh books...

Well "The Ninja" is fairly good, although a bit to much sexscenes...
But if you are looking for fantasy I cant help you. Since all i've read are some dragonlance books.

Stephen King works too, "Green Mile" and "Needful Things" are great.

EDIT: Who was looking for books btw, forgot :/

Hitch-Hiker's Guide is unofficially the funniest book in the world. Or rather, the trilogy in five parts is. Last two books aren't as good, but the first three are incredible. And such amazing plot lines, too...

Good comparison between Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams, btw. Whoever said that Quantity vs. Quality thing.

Reaper man is an excellent Pratchett. Im a big pratchett fan, I own over half the series. Quantity in quality is good.

This is one of those annoying hit and run posts again.

Should actually be asleep already.

Brain is jammed up onto a lower gear, can't think straight. Might be weariness...

So in class on Friday this student and I start arguing different sides of an issue in class. The issue was over owership of a house a person built on another's land without permission and what should be done about it. After some debate, the other student says "allowing unchecked development will despoil the natural resources blah blah blah."

And the goat says, "Tell it to the invisible hand, Mr. Malthus!"

OMGFWWTFBBQ ZERKING ENCONMICS RSUHED!

In another story, I successfully used "zerged" in a legal debate. And whats better, the professor heard me and knew what it meant! O_O

When were digressing talking about that case a few years ago where some dumbass kid sued pepsi for a hawker harrier jet. Some of you may remember the commercials. Anyhow, part of the justification the judge gave for saying it wasn't false advertising was the amount of points was clearly not enough to buy a $35 million dollar jet.

Someone commented on the fact that F-16s cost much less, about $1.5 million. I agreed, and said, "and there is a lot to be said for zerging someone with pure numbers" and then I changed the subject. 90% of the class didn't hear/didnt get it, but sucessful comment and I was proud.

Then the professor raises her eyebrow and is like, "Seriously....noobs." I am like

O_O

i second that notion

I didn't mean to diss Terry Pratchett. I love his work and just yesterday was reading a game review that used the term "Pratchettesque" so he can't be all bad. But the pure quality of Douglas Adams' work just cannot be surpassed. Pratchett amusses me and keeps me entertained, and I love all his books. But Adams is laugh out loud funny. I wish he had been able to finish The Salmon of Doubt... I wonder if he laughed at that final deadline as it rushed past, knowing that this time it was serious...?

I feel like adding RIP, but know it would be stupid as he didn't believe in that kinda thing :)

So um... To his memory :drink:

[EDIT] Why does following links within the forum log me out when I get to the other end of them? [/EDIT]
