not to instigate a rant :rant: here, but in what way do you mean Garb?

i dont know, perhaps because one of my hiatuses was during the release time.

i bought war3 and xpac, but i pirated Doom3 :yep:
 
The infamous release of 1.10.... aka, the day hell froze over.

it was chaotic and hectic... people were angry because some of their legit items poofed, and others were angry because the 3/20's, 290's and 40/15's were still around...
Then there was the ladder duping spree and the flooding of the economy with duped runes and all that stuff. that and Melee chars got shat upon in pvm and pvp, people were going crazy hunting for the DClone (or as blizzard calls it, Ãœber Diablo) while pvp freaks were moaning about how their chars sucked and how life leech was "eliminated"... i was actually celebrating at this time since i could beat most other chars in straight on pvp action since i prepared myself...
It was total hell... everything that wasn't supposed to happen happened, and everything that was supposed to happen didn't happen... Spammers still spam and Botters still bot while the legit players get punished for commiting such a little "crime" as transfering items from one mule to another...

It was horrid, and i would appreciate not having to relive something like that... ok, Back to the OT

eh, i try to buy cd's since i have money now... if i can't get a cd (if it's out of print and not on ebay) then i may look for it in an FTP group... other than that it's off to the P2P's... but i believe that that kind of talk is considered "breaking the rules" so i'll refrain from saying any more on the subject...

In other news, nothing happened that is worth noting here at this moment..
 
yeah, 1.1 is mostly what ended this game for me. I was all involved in the whole LD thing before that, then 1.1 kinda cause the group to split up, and most of my characters just didn't work any more. The game just lost its interest for me. I havn't really been able to find a game since that has been able to hold my interest as well as this one did though. Warcraft 3 comes close, so does Warlords Battlecry III. Sacred was fun for awhile, but each character in the game seems to lack variety in what they can do.

If instead of 1.10 nl realms and 1.10 l realms blizzard would have had 1.09 nl realms and 1.10 l realms maybe the other half of diablo players(those attached to 1.09) would have remained playing, but now we'll never know...

I'm very good at misspelling people's names, thats why I try to use shortened versions so if DM is alright...

Now I will invent a new spanish word for you, "graziazch" bringing the total down to 214. :D

How to run D2 "not full screen"
Step 1: Right click on your desktop shortcut to D2 (yes, it has to be on the desktop for maximum convenience) and click on "Properties"
Step 2: Seek out the "Target" field
Step 3: At the end of the target, usually it should say " "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" ", type "-w" at the end of it, w/o the quotation marks and one space away from the end of the "Target" line
Step 4: It should look something like this "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w
Step 5: Click the "Ok" button

And as long as you start D2 with that shortcut, it will start in windowed, aka "Not Full Screen", mode...
