OT: Is there another game?

DS is pretty boring i gotta say. half-way through the game my party was so powerful i just set them all to auto-attack and i barely had to click, it was ridiculus.

however, something VERY promising is a mod called Team Elemental. its sort of like a d2 makeover for DS. they even had to change lots of code(with endorsement from gas powered games) and right now the freely downloadable beta clocks in at around 500-700mb i think. final release is slated to be over a gig in size. that alone may be worth getting the game for

There is a very D2 like game (you control a team, instead a single char), Throne of Darkness or something. It runs on slow computer. I played it a bit. the item system has both pro and con against D2.
Pro: you get the best itemz by complete quest, no MF.
Con: you have to start from right castal to get certain itemz, each start point gets different uber item, and there is no way to get all the best on one team if you play SP.

Game play Pro and Con:
Pro: once you cleaned an area, it will stay clean. you can leave itemz on ground, they will stay. you control max 4 guys at any time (out of 7 in your hand). instead teleport to base if required (eg. near death), everyone can tp, and I think you can tp back from base. you can repeat areas by play "fake" MP games.
Con: 640x480 screen resolution, skill selection is slow (like dungen siege, Never winter). you need to bring right char in your team in order to get quests (you don't want to miss uber itemz), therefore, even you don't like certain char, you have to play him.

This is a good game, the bad thing is that the game is not longer supported by the company due to bad sales...so what you get is what you get :(

Also there is a very steep learning curve.

The game doesn't have many bugs, so what you get ain't so bad, especially the itemz are not MF dependent.

To learn how to play, was a big problem for me, I never got it (compare to D2).

Same here I've got the game but it's super hard to get into. Bleh.

I was lucky, my friend gave it to me. I played about 1/3 of the game, and gave up. the skill control was too hard. and whoever I directly control was always the weakest (lowest level, dur to my less attack/killing). But I like the teleport ability.

D2 rocks! I may have 10 skills to switch around but I can always one key switch.

Try Blade & Sword. Crapy graphics but loads of fun.

I've played it a bit and it looks very promising. :)

As for me Championship Manager is the only game who can compete with D2.

Yes D2 is my big addiction aside from Miranda...

Sacred is really good as well.
