If they did that right it would be the best horror movie ever made. Man that game was scary.

As for the actual question, how have the MGS games not been mentioned yet. I mean they already have the perfect storylines to follow, and plus Hugh Jackson is already like the perfect cast for Snake. Other nominees are: Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica (yeah I know there are Resident Evil movies, but they butchered the story), Starcraft, Dynasty Warriors 2-5, and some others that I can't think of atm.

how can you possibly say UT ? as m,uch as i love the game, people jumping over each other and shooting in theyr heads just is NOT worth 2 hours...

Command and Conquer: Red Alert had a great premise.

Present-day scientists with a time machine go back to 1920's Germany and "remove" Hitler from history, so that Hitler's rise to power never happened.

With Hitler gone, they thought the present-day world would be a better place. But then (to quote from the game manual) something even worse happened...Joseph Stalin!

Planescape: Torment. No competetion. Though that might actually be more suitable to a novel. But a movie could potentially be awesome too if done right.

There is already a novel of that, I did not read it htough (yet).

Maybe a strategy game could work, a build up of various parties ending in a cataclysmic war. I don't know which one though.

I didn't like KOTOR that much, and movie wise... Jedi Outcast is better!
