OT: Help with a riddle

Let us see how smart ppl rly are. In this riddle your gonna have to play around with the words A Lot for the answer so here goes:

There was a woman in a room with no way out. There were no windows or doors, but there was a mirror and a table inside the room. How did she get out?

If you already know the answer just PM me and ill see if you got it right.

Ah three dead females, different animals are female/male so are fish. where did the cat who knocked there bowl over go?

2 men in a cabin, there is a better word for cabin but since I know that one I will let others guess.

A guy is found dead wearing scuba gear in the middle of a forrest what happen? By the way this is a true story.

Does it have to do with the soup?

was it an extremely long sea voyage?

I know the answer to this one, and it is quite tragicomical..Though I have heard a few versions as to where it took place actually..

I think I know the cabin-on-mountain one, and I definitely know the diver-in-forest one. The albatross soup one has me somewhat puzzled though, along with the room-with-no-way-out. Although I'm tempted to give the standard answer to the latter...

AFAIK It took place in CA, USA several years ago. You know the circumstance so I will leave it at that as for where it took place.

A man is found in the desert dead with a backpack on. He did not die of thirst, natural causes(heart attack etc.), animals or human foul play how did he die?

Hmmmm. His parachute didn´t open?

About all the talk about the scuba diver in the forest, it never happened. Check out the Darwin Awards web site for one version of the story. In one of the books, they talk about this story and why it couldnt happen.

Also, the riddle about the room with no exits is giving me a hard time, I just cant seem to find the right place to start thinking about it.

Wonko:

I'm guessing his "sea voyage" was less than successful. In fact, I'm guessing that some of his crew died. Yes? That would go a long way toward answering the riddle.

balluga08 is correct, this story if false. The fully story can be found here. The story also contains a number of flaws.

As for the other riddles, I know the answer to some, others I don't know. Maybe someone can post the answers to some of them once everyone has had time to try and figure them out.

I think I see where GG is going with this one. I've heard this before but with a slightly different twist. The end result is still the same.

hah! that's gross! yep, I got it. ;)

Y'see, even though many of the crew of that ship died during the voyage, they never seemed to run out of food. Or rather, they never ran out of "Albatross Soup"......

Having tasted real Albatross Soup, his reality quickly shattered. Hmm tastes funny...hmm what did we do with all those dead crew members...YOINK. Ho boy.

It's almost disturbing (not to mention embarrassing) how quickly you got that, GG. Are you sure you haven't heard it or one like it before? ;)
Aside from video games, solving riddles is all I did when I was growing up. I still have a series of audio tapes called "MindTrap" that are just like this. Mental leaps of faith are my specialty, I guess that's why I'm a christian.

Here's a hard one:

A lost explorer was wandering deep in the jungle. He ran across a tribe of natives who captured him. They took him to their chief.

The chief explained that if the location of his tribe was discovered, he and his people would be forced from the jungle and their homeland would be destroyed. The explorer had to be killed in a ritual ceremony.

This is how the ceremony worked:

The explorer would make one statement which would determine his fate (questions and commands would be ignored).

If the statement was TRUE, he would be thrown off of a cliff.

If the statement was FALSE, he would be fed to lions.

The explorer pondered his situation, deep in thought, then carefully made his statement.

After the chief reflected on the explorer's statement, he realized that he would have to let the explorer go. This was done immediately, and the explorer left the jungle that very day.

The chief never forgot the great wisdom of that explorer.

WHAT WAS THE EXPLORER'S STATEMENT?

Could it be something like:
I'm speaking the truth!

How do you say TRUE or FALSE to that?

Well, you can't tell really, but it's because it could be either. That is, if you assume it to be true, then it is true. If you assume it to be false, then it is false.
A better statement, I believe, would be something like:
"This statement is false."
The above statement is neither true, nor false, there is just no way to tell: If you assume it to be true, then it is false, and vice versa.

Is that the answer to the riddle, Goober?

Now, I've got a very nice one for you guys & gals. It's in 2 parts.

Part I:
You're in a room with two doors leading out, each guarded by a guard. One exit leads to safety, the other to death, but you don't know which. One guard always tells the truth, the other always lies, but you don't know who. You can ask one of the guards a single question to establish which is the safe way out. What is the question?

(Anybody seen "Labyrinth"?)

Yo Lacerta,

If you saw 2 red dots - no raised hand. If you saw red and green and all raised hand then easy - the guy with green must see green so you are green. If you see 2 green then there is ambiguity. If noone is claiming prize immediately then noone sees red and green so noone is red and you must be green.

Wow am I drunk - i missed some pages and saw my answer was already there to see. I am so embarrassed that I am here since the scuba diver was declared a myth on my 26th birthday. Get out your calculators. Later in the year I will be older than Jesus (except the 800 foot variety).

I know the answer to symeons first question. Ask if the other guard would recommend a particular exit if so take the other one, if not take it. The logic works.

Indeed.
So, you "sieve" the answer you get through both guards' answers, making sure that you get 1 true + 1 false = 1 false, and follow the opposite route than the one recommended.
Now.

Part II
Same situation, only you can ask one guard a single question, WITHOUT MENTIONING THE OTHER GUARD. What is the question?
