OT: Favorite fast foods

Right.

After mentioning one of my guilty pleasures to friedbonanza in the bar, I thought I'd start an OT and see what everybody else craves. Oh, and bring pictures, please!

Vegetarians, you have been warned.

When I'm not buying the aforementioned ambrosia at Wendy's, this is my choice, supplemented with two orders of chicken nuggets. I'm too lazy to calculate the total calories, if that's any indication of it's awesomeness.

I don't live in California anymore, but when I did a chain called Carl's Jr. was one of my usual haunts. Sadly, I now live without the Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger. Good for my cholesterol, bad more my morale. Bacon, beef, onion rings and BBQ sauce. That's a killer combination.

Another thing I miss about my old dwelling in San Diego is Santana's; a small chain of Mexican restaurants. Two carne-asada burritos weighing one pound each even fills me up. And they were cheap, too! $3.00 when I lived there...they've since gone up in price.)

So, what are your favorite fast foods? Help expand my knowledge and my waist size!

Subway - every time. 6-inch, italian herb-and-cheese bread, ham, turkey, bacon, cheese, more cheese, barbeque sauce and green peppers.

Greggs = instant win. I now live pretty much opposite the one on Nicholson street, Aman. It's awesome.

I love the kebab at Falafel Kitchen here in Malmö. A rolled up thin pita bread, containing a bundle with lots of meat, tomato, parcel, strong peppers, pickled cucumber and topped with an amazing garlic sauce. Well, sauce and sauce, it´s looks more like some sort of grease one would use on heavy machinery...it´s probably one of the fattiest food substances know to man... :grin:

My favourite fast food is self-cooked pasta with pesto :rolleyes:
Hey, I mean, it's even faster than waiting in the queue at BK...

btw, that reminds me: fast food is really crappy here in Germany. Almost everywhere only McDonald's, some Burger Kings, some KFC and Subway...but we have kebab shops everywhere! I like the Yufka Döner best :tongue: (jiansonz, I think what you described is just the thing called Yufka Döner here - the rolled up thin pita bread and so on...)

Hot wings from a local pizza place. Otherwise, i like woppers and wendys chili.

Just saying hi from the land of Kebab and Doner!

I've been showing signs of anorexia nervosa lately, but in my normal periods, I wouldn't change Doner (or even Lahmacun) to any burger. Kokorec is also pretty awesome, but I don't even want to think of the fat content!

See, now I feel bad. I used to live in North Carolina, and I saw Bojangles but never tried it.

I think that's the general rule of fast food: It's never as good as in the country it originated from. I've had KFC and Pizza Hut in Thailand, and it's just horrible by comparison.

@ aman and silo: Is this Gregg's? One of the things I'm enjoying about this thread is that I get to hear about countries I've never visited.

@ witchy :heart: : Does that mean you want to go to the Chinese buffet? That's about the only place that's going to make me fat, after all. It's worth a shot, right?

I eat way too much fast food. Micky D's, BK, Arbys, Taco Bell, Godfathers, Pizza hut, KFC, chinese food. Then for lunch I have....:grin:

I probably eat fast food two or three times a week.

My dear, even the Chinese buffet has no hope in making you fat. We can go again, but we're going for dinner this time...I want crab legs!!! Maybe if someone comes out next weekend we can go.:heart:

For me, I personally love little Ceazars pizza in San diego, California and my all time favoriteeeee.....subway Italian BMT!!!!

They do call it Hardee's on the east coast. Sadly, we have neither Carl's Jr. nor Hardee's here in NY that I know of. But rumors persist that we do have a Popeye's near here. I love their chicken!

Really? There's a Popeyes right on the corner by my house but I've never been...
Maybe because it's nestled between a McD's and BK with a Subway across the street...

And don't worry, KFC is still completely (greasy) awesome in Canada.


In my first year of college (and a bit of second) I completely swore off fast food of any kind. For both my health/waistline and wallet, but boozin' it up college style pretty much negated that... On St Patrick's Day I was mortified to find out that I had eaten some McD's fries while I was hammered, and couldn't even remember having them... :embarassed: But otherwise still kept up with the no fast food for another year.

I've always liked pizza in all its forms. Ham, pineapple, shrimp and garlic is my favourite for some reason.

Oh, another place i eat at a lot is Sheetz... I love there taco salads and hamburgers... Though there mainly a northeast chain as they started not far from here in Altonna, PA... Kinda interesting.
